So, as it is my Escapist Anniversary, I decided now would be a good time to give away these two extra codes I have to the Classic Pack of Fallout: New Vegas.

I'll be doing a contest for these two codes: Which is better, Waffles, or pancakes? Give me a short essay for which ever side you choose. The best of each category wins one of the codes!

Some notes are:

1. These codes are for the Xbox 360 version of the game, and will not work on any other console.
2. The essay doesn't have to be long, but at least one paragraph
3. The codes will be sent to the winner in an instant message, and will be distributed in 24 hours from this post.

Good luck, and don't hut anyone else too bad.

Me :D I didn't get mine from GAME ):

Essay to follow: Clearly waffles, because what can you have with waffles? Belgian waffles. That's right... waffles from Belgium, and as we all know, this means they are ridiculously tasty and come covered in a stupendous variety of toppings anywhere from fruit and ice cream to bacon... because as we all know, everything is better with bacon... mmm bacon. But back onto waffles! Waffles are awesome.

Waffles, because they have an entire house dedicated to them.

Then again, so do pancakes.

Uhhhh... UHHHHHH.... UHHHHHHHHHHH.............

I gotta ask for specifics with Waffles and Pancakes.

1. Waffles. Do you mean the cool pastry/bready kind or the potato kind? Because I only have potato ones here, and even though they are golden brown and delicious, I dunno if they count.

2. Pancakes. Do you mean those sweet pancakes where people add syrup and ice cream, or the savoury kind that you can put gravy on? :0
Both are good...

Waffles because of they have a special crisp to them. for me pancakes have never tasted good, they were always too soft, or too liquid like. when i bite into a waffle i taste a warm, crunchy sweetness that i never have tasted in any other food. when I take a bite of a pancake it taste bland and the same. Another reason I love waffles is that by my house there is a place that serves the best waffles. the best in my opinion is where the put a drizzle a small amount of chocolate on the waffle And when i bite into it I taste a slice of haven.

That was my essay I am sorry if there was any bad grammar i was never very good at grammar in school

Both the type you would have for breakfast.

Dare I ask how you've come by these codes?

Waffles are clearly a vastly superior food form to pancakes. You might observe some similarities in the batter of both subjects, but the extra sugar normally inherent in the creation of the lattice of joy that is a waffle lends an extra sweetness that a pancake simply cannot live up to.
Additionally, the shape of a waffle allows it to serve as a useful receptacle for your topping of choice, be it syrup (clearly the best choice), chocolate sauce, or simply cream. No more must we suffer under the flawed design of the pancake; its flat top allowing a myriad of abnormally tasty toppings to slide, wasted, back to the plate. This shape also allows for stacking of waffles, the squares in each of them holding the additional sauces. Try this with pancakes, and you will find that only the uppermost member of the stack has any bonus flavour, no matter what you do.
As a final point, waffles require far more preparation than pancakes, with the need of a fancy pan or a waffle iron. This ensures that on the occasions that they are received, they are recognised as the amazing treats that they are. Pancakes are simple to create, and hence can quickly become mundane; mere husks of the joy-bringing batter they once were.
In conlusion, waffles are better than pancakes. Because they are.
(Note: Bacon can be eaten with both, as can syrup. I highly advise combining both of the aforementioned extras)

Good Sir,

all of humanity knows of the awesomeness of the pancakes where waffles are only truly appriciated in Belgium.
And even though both Papa Smurf and Tintin where Belgian and would prefered waffles, Chuck Norris (Being a so called non-Belgian) would not.
Hereby proving for once and for all that pancakes are better than waffles.

Your's truly,

Philip II of Spain

P.S. Patrick Steward would have preferd pancakes too.

Waffles are obviously the superior breakfast food. Blessed with hundreds of golden brown dimples, yearning to be filled with a substantial amount of sweet syrup, they make delicious morning delights. Unfortunately pancakes are flat, and devoid of any natural indents with the ability to contain syrup. A good waffle also has a nice crunch to it, and does not slump solemnly on a plate. The Belgian waffle is the greatest breakfast food in the world, bedecked with numerous toppings, the sheer sight of the waffle can cure the sick and strengthen the weak. Do you know of any true mecca for pancakes? France may be a good answer with its love of crepes, but riots are tearing through the city. Would you rather sit in Antwerp with a warm waffle in your hands admiring the beauty of the city, or run through the streets of Lyon, screaming as the mob approaches? Its only obvious that you would choose the obvious home of the superior food, the waffle.

I think it's obvious that pancakes are fare superior to waffles. Do waffles have an entire day dedicated to them? No! They just aren't as good as waffles, they offer no versatility unlike the majestic pancake which is really suitable for any time of the day going great with a number of toppings from lemon juice all the way to ice cream! Waffles simply cant compete with the masterpiece of our modern lives that is the pancake.

Waffles are better and even weebls stuff agrees, "Look in front of you now, do you see a waffle, wouldn't you be happier if you did?"

I prefer waffles, pancakes are thin and waffles are crunchier and I prefer the taste
(I don't want the code but just felt like joining in :) )

How kind of you, OP.
I have yet to get New Vegas, but will have it either soon or by christmas.
Anyway, my essay is on waffles, because I had a bad experience with pancakes.
I had my first waffle at a friend's house, just a plain Belgian Waffle, and it was very nice.
Had a luxurious air to it, and made me feel richer for having eaten it (Said friend's family is very well-off).
However, I tried my hand at making pancakes once.
It did not end well.
Safe to say the pan melted, and the falling pancake was hot on my legs.
It hurt, and after my sister succeeding in making a pancake, my spite and anger at my new enemy souredt he taste.
I have never tried to eat one since.... foul creatures.

Waffles are nice. Think I'll buy some and eat them this week.

Ah, we have them in England. :0 You usually have pancakes with vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy. It's actually quite good despite the vegetables xD
