It was the fourth Doctor and I dont remember what episode it was but I think it involved guys with deer skull masks and robes or something. Also I distinctly remember laughing my ass off a few episodes later when Stonehenge came to life and started murdering people. I think. (It was a long time ago on DVD.)

the first eposide I ever saw was planet of the daleks, William Hartnell was playing the doctor. Those early black and white episodes had a special magic to them. Patrick Troughton is still my favourite doctor it's really sad that most of his story arcs are lost, I watched them on Tv when I was a kid and now I'll never get to watch them again.

I saw The Five Doctors first, which was kind of a shock to the system as I got the first five incarnations all at once.

the first ever episode, the unearthly child with william hartnell. When i heard about doctor who, i decided i was going to watch it, and in my usual style, i started at the beginning. Didnt realize there was a "new" series, so i took the beginning to man the sixties. Well worth it still

First episode I saw was Blink with David Tennant. It was great. Series 5 was the first I saw from start to end. Saw a mish mash of a few episodes before that. After series 5 I got around to watchhing the rest of the modern episodes and Torchwood.

Similarly for Blake's 7
OG I LOVED that show - hated the ending though.
*glares* Best. Ending. Ever.

(Yes, I was dumbstruck for about an hour before I burst into tears. Yes, I had nightmares for a week. Still best ending ever.)

It was probably a Tom Baker one, but I just used to watch them on UK Gold as a little kid, I didn't pay much attention to the title, storyline, etc. I was just going "Haha, stupid looking monsters and a funny guy in a scarf."

My first Doctor was...

<------ This guy, in "Rose."

I've gotta say, I'm more of a Tennant fan. I think he freaking OWNED the role. I've been meaning to check out some Tom Baker episodes, though, because I heard he's the quintessential Doctor.

The Third Doctor, Jon Pertwee, in his last episode Planet Of The Spiders. My dad still has the video. Pertwee was my joint-favourite Doctor with Tom Baker. Pertwee was something of an action guy, think Captain Kirk, but Baker put a marvellously weird spin on everything, added a touch of comedy to an already good show and made it very good.

David Tennant

"Blink"

Tennant in "Blink". Good episode, it allows for people not familiar with the show to get ushered in properly. Hate to say I've just about had it with Matt Smith though.
I agree with that.

Mine was the third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee. The episode I saw was the first ever Pertwee episode, which was Spearhead from space. I think it was the third episode to have Nicholas Courteney as Brigadier Lethbridge- Stewart, who is my favourite sidekick.

Christopher Eccleston, in The Long Game. Not the best episode to start with, as that one was a lot darker than any other episodes since, all though the same is true of the whole new series 1. This episode in particular was very cyberpunk, though. Pretty creepy for an 11 year old.

Anyway, I didn't start watching regularly until Tennant's series. But I did go back to watch all of Eccleston's. He's a very good actor, and he played a good doctor, but it's pretty much like a good band opening for a mind-blowing one.

My first was Christopher Eccleston in 'Rose', and I then proceeded to watch every single episode in that season, then season 2 (NuWho) on DVD. Season 3 I watched weekly on TV, same with Season 4. Season 5 I watched most of weekly, but I missed 4 or 5 episodes, and for this reason have not seen any of Season 6 yet. I have quite a lot to catch up on. I'm still not sure what I think of Matt Smith. He's good and all, but it just seems like he's trying too hard to be like David Tennant. Whereas most of the Doctor's incarnations have been completely different; Smith and Tennant are far too similar, because Smith knows he has big boots to fill, and that he will never replace Tennant in the hearts of many fans.

I've also seen a few older episodes, like a couple from the Tom Baker era, and maybe one or two of Jon Pertwee, but I haven't really seen that many. I'd definitely LIKE to, I just haven't yet. Either way though, I love Doctor Who :)

My first was Peter Davidson as the Fifth Doctor in Castrovalva. I think my parents used to sometimes watch Doctor Who before then, and I may have seen it on, but this is the first one I actually sat down and watched. I remember being fascinated by the recursive scenes.
