Who would be the victor in the 40K universe?

Chaos could have bombarded the crap out of the Imperial palace and won. They could have opened a couple of warp gates and sent wave after wave of daemons to destroy it.

they did bombard it, Horus bombarded it for weeks, with all te fleet he had, the bombardemnt was mooving the tectonic plates of terra around, moving around mountains ect (and IoM ships throw terraton (by some crazy high end calculations low petaton) levels of firepower around (that means each broadside is the equivelent of a terraton of tnt going off)), but he didn't get anywhere with it beacose of the theater shield over the palace, it was after the bombardmend he decided for a ground assault

and the emperor along with other phsyker on terra were doing their best to prevent too many deamons to be summoned

Ok, I recently got back into playing (as in, dusting off my Eldar army yesterday night, then proceeding to play against my brother's Tyrannid horde) and I can safely say, that of the forces are equal Eldar completely munch Tyrannids. Of course, the forces are no where near equal.

I'm tempted to just say Necrons but I have other ideas.

1) If the star child theory is correct and the emperor resurrects before the Necrons finish their great work, then things could turn out differently.

2) Looking at the Tau, if it took them 7000 years to go from clubs and fire to starships and lasers then how long is it until their technology becomes too much for anyone to handle?

3) An even more powerful race from another galaxy will enter the combat, have all the advantages of every faction in 40K and will destroy everything in their path.

4) Black holes everywhere.

P.S. Kroot are a waste a waste of space and only pure Tau will triuph in the 40k universe.
