David Mitchell sent me a letter once, handwritten and everything. I was most impressed. Assuming we're both meaning the same David Mitchell here. Wikipedia throws up more entries than I imagined. To check, coincidentally, they were filming some scenes from the Cloud Atlas adaptation within spitting distance of my work just a few days ago. Damn!

Non sexual?....hmm....am I alowed to pick someone who's dead? If so I'd say Nick Drake, I really sympathise with him because he comes off as the type of asexual introvert who really just doesn't understand people, not because he's a bitter misanthrope but just someone who really can't seem to find any joy in life and just doesn't seem able to understand or connect with people. Listening to this song, he seems atrophised of elation, a once bright and optimistic young soul gradually beaten down into a state of langorous despair:


No one cared for his music whilst he was alive and even less people seemed to care for him as a person. I feel like I could relate to him.
