The thing is this is the first time Blizzard done such a thing in a long while, because they tend to hold their games very exclusively to themselves.CritialGaming said:Yay?
I mean were people desperately chomping at the bit for a 20 year old game to be sold somewhere else?
I guess it helps keep the old games legacy alive, as GOG is the place for retro-esque stuff. But i doubt this is anything too significant.
They could always give us the original older version Starcraft 1.CritialGaming said:Yeah it must have to do with them not wanting to adapt the Battle.net service to the old games. So they put them on GOG instead.
I doubt you'll see a Starcraft though because that has been remastered on B-Net.
It seems like they are opening up their old games (without remaster potential or plans) to GOG. Which is fine. I just don't think it'll end up being as big of a deal as people think. Great for those who wanna play the old games again.
Yeah but that takes away from them selling the remaster, so I doubt it.Samtemdo8 said:They could always give us the original older version Starcraft 1.CritialGaming said:Yeah it must have to do with them not wanting to adapt the Battle.net service to the old games. So they put them on GOG instead.

Diablo 2 doesn't have a remaster at the moment. So mabye we will see that on GOG?CritialGaming said:Yeah but that takes away from them selling the remaster, so I doubt it.Samtemdo8 said:They could always give us the original older version Starcraft 1.CritialGaming said:Yeah it must have to do with them not wanting to adapt the Battle.net service to the old games. Sure, assuming a remaster isn't planned. But since they didn't already announce it i feel like we might see a diablo 2 remaster announcement this year at blizzcon or Gamescom. Which I would much rather have.Samtemdo8 said:Diablo 2 doesn't have a remaster at the moment. So maybe we will see that on GOG?

That too, but they might also remaster D2 in the meantime to keep people satisfied. Even if they announce D4 it wont be out until at LEAST 2021-22Samtemdo8 said:I feel we will be seeing Diablo 4's announcement.CritialGaming said:Sure, assuming a remaster isn't planned. I doubt it. SC1's already on b.net for free. WC3's still sold and is getting a remaster. D2's still sold on b.net as well and is likely getting a remake at some point.Samtemdo8 said:And mabye the more important games like Diablo 2 and its expansion Lords of Destruction. Starcraft 1 and its expansion Brood War. And Warcraft 3 and its expansion the Frozen Throne.
I know. But I still find the game simple enough to beat it in the end.Johnny Novgorod said:I never liked the first game very much. Playing it after 2 it felt like several thousand steps back.
I never even made it past "Aaaah, fresh meat!". Digging myself deeper and deeper into those dungeons was so boring. Do you ever go to another location or is it just burying deeper within the same dungeon?Samtemdo8 said:I know. But goddamn. You attack with every click of the mouse you do.
The slow as fuck walking speed since the character can't run.
