Who's considering getting a Vita?

I have to admit the hardware really does impress me and I'm a huge sucker for the Uncharted games. With handhelds, there's always that one game that makes me want to buy the console but I know I'd regret it.
The price tag is ridiculous and that's even truer in the case of the memory cards but, regardless, is anyone actually considering getting one?

I'll likely get one in a year. Apart from Uncharted and WipeOut, there's not too much I'm interested in atm. I also will need to see lower prices or bigger memory sticks, cause I plan on importing everything from my PSPGO to the Vita, and that's gunna need at least 30GBs

I'll be getting one. I did have a preorder, but had to cancel it due to cashflow issues (or lack thereof). I'm probably better waiting anyway, new hardware tends to have some problems, so I might be best waiting for the teething troubles to sort themselves out before I get one.

I'll wait until Dragon's Crown get released, the current launch tittles don't really interest me, besides with Tales of the Abyss and Resident Evil Revelations my portable needs will be fulfilled until then

I was really excited at first but the more I hear about it the more my excitement has waned. The price, the memory price, the titles and the backwards compatability questions have all made me wonder if it's even worth it.

At launch? Hell no. I still haven't gotten a 3DS (which I'm definitely going to be getting before a Vita).

After some time has passed? Eh, maybe. With a price drop and a better library, I could see myself getting one.

Just as Jimquisition has stated.

Either way, yeah I'm not really interested. Handhelds are all kind of -woosh- over my head. I never really feel like playing a game outside of my home because there's a reason I'm outside of my home. I have a DS Lite and I never play it, unless I'm in the mood for Soul Silver. So yeah, until the day a Handheld is actually smart and brings something amazing to the table, as well as bringing games that are fucking worth my time at launch...I'm look at you Nintendo...Then I'll get one, but until then, they can be buried 10 feet in the ground under obsidian flooring of a house surrounded by an impenetrable force field.

I'm waiting for the redesign.

And I will announce it in every single Vita thread whether it applies or not.

Because everyone needs to know that i'm waiting for the redesign.

...okay, I think my point's been made.

I think it looks great, and this is coming from someone who hasnt had a Handheld since the GBA and even then I pretty much only played Pokemon on it, However its simply too expensive so I'l pick when up when the price is reasonable.

Something tells me I'l not be waiting too long.

I was thinking about it, but then I heard the games were gonna be £45 each and I thought, 'screw it'.

Besides, I've got my 360, PS3 and iPhone. I don't need it :)

Thank you.

I do know of an online outlet here in Canada that's offering a Vita bundle that includes a memory card and choice of launch game for $260.

EDIT: Looking closer, the game and memory card are both additional charges. So you dont save much at all.

I'm sure I'll get one eventually, but it almost defintely won't be at launch. I love my PSP though so even if the Vita were more of the same I'd still be interested. Thing is, I only picked up a PSP a year or so ago when the hardware and software were already cheap.

I sure won't be getting one at launch. Until they drop their prices in those obscenely expensive memory cards (wich I highly doubt), I won't be getting one.
