Stop Having Fun Guys. First, i don't run into Scrubs all that often. Second, all Stop Having Fun Guys are stuck-up douchebags. No exceptions.

...but really, are they too different?

Probably scrubs... But a stop having fun guy can be annoying, even though I meet them a lot less. Does calling someone a "hacker" make one a scrub or something else?
Depends on whether or not you are right.
Generally they aren't though. I cringe with embarrassment every time I read someone calling another person a hacker when I played CS or WoW. 9 times out of 10 they're actually just a good player.

well according to tvtropes it'd be closer to a god modder "someone who claims their exploit(or hack) is a perfectly valid strategy"
unless ofcourse their hacking something for "balance" reasons (quotations needed :p)

I have a friend that I play with who is a scrub and he is annoying as HELL! He is always looking for handouts and it is never his fault when he does poorly. It is always the other guy cheating or being a jerk or something along those lines.

So, scrubs are more annoying definately.

your friend kinda sounds a little lame when it comes to the vidya games. :|

i actually like both of them, scrubs and stophavingfunguys guy are both equally funny to trawl since the're both unbelievably srs biznus.

No, I meant a person who CALLS OTHERS hackers even thought they're not.

Same, I really can stand those guys. Scrubs I can at least put up with.

DEFINATELY scrubs, at least the stop having fun guys havn't lost what the game is about (competition).
Opinion.

Competition isn't what "the game is all about."
Some people play to have some fucking fun.

Anyway, I think both can go fuck themselves.
i think i could take my mini essay back up there and replace it with this haha
Exactly how i feel. They can both suck my baws

i honestly dont know where these kind of people came from, when i used to play games as a kid it was all fun. iv grown up playing games to have fun and relax (ie keep my mind from feeling guilty about those unfinished homework sheet in my bag) and i still do
if they grew up being angry at there games and other players why do they insist in spending there money on it....just bugger off

ANSWER: Both.

Neither of these are tolerable in a person, so why bother to compare? You wouldn't want to catch whatever they're got, in any case.

I've never actually met a 'stop having fun guy', in an online game. So I'll say "Scrubs, how does using a certain type of gun, make me a cheater? If the game designers felt like it was cheating then they wouldn't have put it into the game in the first place.

They're both equally sad, I think.

I'll draw examples from the CoD4 universe as this is the one I'm more familiar with:
- The elitists will trash talk, insult, and try their hardest to humiliate. I amuse myself by replying with cheeky, unafflicted comments. Some times they live up to their tough preaching. Most of the time they don't. This usually has one out of two possible outcomes: 1) They ragequit, 2) They rage at me for being a noob/lamer/something, which essentially brings them down to the scrub stage.
- The scrubs are just annoying because they seem to completely isolate the competitive element whenever they see fit, despite getting angry when they're not performing well. It's like the guy that volunteered to be a keeper when you were playing soccer at age 10, and then he goes "please don't do powerful shots".

You can have fun AND win at the same time. In Call of Duty, I must sometimes sacrifice myself a bit more to have more fun, but I'd rather have, say, a 2:1 K|D and play the way I prefer, than having a 5:1 K|D and being bored out of my mind.

Stop having fun guy.

It's a video game. You are far too angry to be doing anything right now, comrade. Stop yelling at me. STOP YELLING AT ME.

At least I can advise a scrub on what to do.
