So now that it's out on Steam [http://store.steampowered.com/app/283640/] in addition to the PS4 store, more people (such as myself) should be playing this game. I'd been eagerly awaiting the Steam release and finally started playing today.
What are everyone's thoughts so far? What builds are you using? Favourite weapons? Any nice tips/tricks you've stumbled upon?
My thoughts? My god. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me but it took me 1h40m to get past the first boss. Most of that time was spent fighting him or running back to him. It must have taken me 30-40 tries. Something just hasn't clicked with me yet. The shield is more trouble than its worth in that battle as it doesn't stop all damage, and the rolling is just different enough from Dark Souls that I'm screwing it up all over the place. Just can't get used to it. The combo timing is just a bit weird too and when I mess that up I get smacked around in a hurry too. And just to add to my difficulties, I couldn't judge his weapon's range worth a damn either. He always swung just a little further than I expected.
The game's got potential though. Either I've just rolled with a character that isn't going to suit my playstyle, or I just need to do some serious unlearning of Dark Souls controls and techniques. Either way, I'm still looking forward to playing more of it despite almost going insane on boss #1, so I guess that's a good thing.
