The more important question is who is spending over £1000 on the DLC for this simulator?

American beer is almost water, you're mistaking American for Irish stereotypes.

But I love how you talk about cultures you don't know anything about.

Also, your name sounds Nazi so you're obviously a nazi. LOGIC!

People do the same with toy trains.

Oh yea and so what if I am a nazi.
I'm blowing your logic out of proportion, like saying all blond girls are dumb or that all black people have the IQ of apes. A lot of ignorant people still claim that all Germany is a country of Nazis.

And you're ignorant for thinking like them - and I can excuse ignorance, but being so obnoxious to the point of describing a culture you never came in contact with...?

Plus, France and Germany have the highest humber of registered firearms and shooting is a past-time in any culture that isn't mentally immature. And Germans also drink a lot of beer.

Does that make all Germans gun-tooting drunk Nazis?

there is a lot of gun toting drunks in the USA. It has been a part of their culture for several hundred years.
"There are", and what you said is obviously fake. People follow safety guidelines religiously, otherwise accidental firearm deaths would kill as many people as car accidents.

Before you retort, check how many alcohol related car crashes Europe has before pulling out another argument without any data (burden of proof is on who makes the claims, don't expect me to google it and waste my time on this).

They're made so that birgirpal can make these videos.

If those games being made was the cost humanity had to pay for those video's existence, then I deem it well worth it.

That person is a master of comedy, truly!

German people buy them unless it's a hunting simulation then people from the USA buy them. In Germany learning a skill or trade is seen as good aspirational thing like as in the USA getting drunk and shooting wild animals is.
As a matter of fact, in the US those games are frowned upon by hunters. It's like how an actual Top Gun pilot views jet combat on BF3.

Also, getting hammered before touching a weapon is VERY frowned upon by gun owners everywhere.

I am an European and at least I don't pretend to know everything about other cultures, so I don't think anyone has the excuse to cling on unfunny stereotypes.

Now excuse me while I call Germans nazis and claim that every British person knows the Queen.
You seem very serious about this so where is your evidence to back up your busting of the stereotype that people who like to shoot guns also like to drink heavily? A quick google search quickly gives me references to studies showing that gun owners in the US are much more likely to be heavy drinkers and that gun incidents are often linked to alcohol.
I once read some of those studies. They were about how violent games brainwash our youth and all recent acts of violence can be attributed to violent games like Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and The Black Eyes Peas Experience...

It sounded serious enough, so I guess it must be true.

On topic: I don't know... I always thought those games were the work of companies that make simulations about everything, and they run out of ideas at some point.

What does europe have to do with any of this?
Because I live in Europe, so it's a place I know.

But I could ask the same, what the hell do you have to do with North America to spit your prejudice on them?

Right, you can remove the word 'simulator' from your post. Flight's a total abortion!
Which is why I was referring to the pre-F2P releases, the one that the last major release of was close to a decade ago. Those games were serious sims; FSX was made, as far as I know, to fill the gap left by the lack of a recent release. Otherwise, we seem to agree.

North America and Europe are two very different continents and are populated by very different people. You cant use one as an example when talking about the other.
Which is exactly what I wasn't doing. I was just mentioning that people are not reckless enough to drink and shoot, same with drinking and driving.

How many drivers you know get hammered before driving?

By the way, you lived there? I lived in Germany too, everyone was a Nazi. In case you didn't notice, I was making up stuff on the internet (WHO WOULD DO SUCH A THING?). Anecdotal evidence doesn't mean a lot to me.

Train simulators boggle me the most, but there's something for everyone. I mean, it's probably the same people that collect model trains. But then there is always this guy:

Possibly NSFW

Holy shit did you see that bit where he lifted the pallet with the cable on it??! I thought for a moment he was gona mess it up but then he pulled through like a fuckin' boss! So intense!

OT; Yeah I have no idea either.

What? The whole scientific method is now suspect because some horrible horrible people said something unpleasant about your beloved video games? Maybe we should go back to casting runes or like our politically correct friend not say anything negative about anyone because it's exactly the same as calling everyone nazis.

I played a train simulator once... It was so boring I tried cutting myself with the horrible, jagged textures...
