All the negative comments seemed to come from rabid Yahtzee fanboys who just wanted an hour long ZP episode. Before Yahtzee put the promo in his vid it was getting really good ratings from the Australian Gamer crowd.

I thought it was alright.

I did. It isn't as good as Zero Punctuation, but that was to be expected since Yahtzee didn't get the chance to organize his thoughts. It was still pretty good though.

I thought it was OK, not the best thing ever. There were a few really good moments, like the talk on adventure games and physics. And I couldn't stop laughing at the Duke Nukem Design Team skits. Besides that though it wasn't anything super special.

I didn't find it that great, the other two were lame at best and boring at worst and apparently Yahtzee works best in small doses.
I agree, his "chaps" were quite boring.

I must say, thanks to everyone who is posting entire new threads for their generic feedback, because your opinions are obviously too special and important to go with everyone else's in the general criticism thread. You thick twats.

I do believe that it has potential. Yahtzee is there to make it awesome, and his friends are at least necesary to make it get anywhere, since without them it'd just be ZP in live action. The reason it may not seem to reach its full potential is because it has no funding yet, where it to have it would make it great, but as it is, it's just 3 guys and a camera, not unlike most of my school projects. I thought the pilot was good, but a bit too low budget.

LMFAO, wow. I consider myself told off. Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I'll regret this thread for the rest of my life. :D

But seriously now. Out of Matt and Yug, which guys do you prefer? I quite like Yug.

I liked it, but I get the feeling that Yahtzee wanted to shoot himself during the entire experience.(Just look at his face! That boy never smiles!)

Eh... it was okay, but it bugged me how they never looked at eachother while talking to eachother.
Same, it was less of a discussion more of a three people reading a script to a camera.

It was alright but i felt like Yahtzee was trying too hard to keep up his sarcastic/bitter persona. And the WoW guy who sat on the right needs to be shot.

Spilt opinion then, right-o.
Sorry for the repost and that :D
I think there is potential for the show, but I think it needs a hair more focus. I mean, was it a sketch comedy show or an informative show at it's core? The writing in general seems to be alright but many of the lines were delivered with what seemed to be discomfort (like watching one of the Gamespot video reviews) - perhaps the key is training and practice or just different people on the couch? Perhaps the problem is simply the fact that it was a pilot and a lot of the issues would be resolved if it actually became a series.

Also, when I saw the word "repost" I thought it was a misspelled riposte. Apparently attending a fencing tournament for a weekend destroys my ability to read.

I just found it pretty abysmal overall. The sessions on the couch were particularly awkward, with Yahtzee's jokes being direly forced. The sketches are completely stale, and remind me of CAD's webcomics in terms of humour, which is particularly ironic after Yahztee's past rants on the subject.

Yahtzee seems way too up tight, and needs to be more natural, rather than relying on his 'bitter Brit' persona.

If the show is ever going to work, it needs to have a complete rethink on its approach. I thought Yahztee's offshoot on Adventure Gaming was good - it was represented as almost documentary-like. It used humour well, and paced it appropriately. I think the show has potential, it just needs a revamp.

Yus, it indeed has potential. What some haters are missing is that this is the PILOT. Now, you watch the pilot of any show that you love and you'll see how different it was to the end result. Try that with House - it really freaked me out, they used a weird orange filter so everyone looked like they had jaundice. :S

Australia has never had any good gaming shows (or any i have been bothered to watch for that matter) but it was very good. I thought it was going to be boring but Yahtzee took out anything boring.

Now i know the definition for Steampunk. Woooooooooo!!!!!

EDIT: Not that i think that GameDamage will be released in Australia. When it comes to TV and games, Aussie doesn't do so well.

And the GameDamage theme song was awesome.
