Spider.

Fucking.

Jersualem.

The miserable, drunken, drug addled, hate filled bastard who'll yell in your face and evacuate your bowels, but will never LIE to you.
Win. Can't believe I forgot about Spider.
(Also, CIAPHAS CAIN, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM is pretty awesome.)

Zorori from Kaiketsu Zorori, a yellow fox traveller who dreams of owning a castle, marrying a princess and being the King of Pranks, but end up failing, causing his victims to be better off.

I don´t know if Rosarch completely counts so the Comedian it is.

especially for this line (which doesn´t really show his badassnes but still)
Niteowl:Whatever happened to the American dream?
Comedian:It came true. You´re looking at it.

I am quite surprised that nobody has said this, but Alex from A Clockwork Orange. The book, not the movie, though. The last chapter improves the character a boatload.

In games Probably Saints leader from Saints Row or CJ from GTA
Comics Probably Deadpool
Film probably Brad p=Pitts character from snatch
and from Literature Skilgannon from White Wolf, a book by David Gemmel. A series of books that anyone who like fantasy would like.

Tyrion Lannister. For all the hate he gets in the books he is the smartest and oddly one of the bravest characters. And though his goals are not always honorable, he usually does the right thing for the wrong reasons or the wrong thing for the right reasons.
I'd say Sandor Clegane is definately more of the anti-hero type than Tyrion...

SO, jeah, Sandor Clegane for my ASOIaF fix...

...and Elric. What a bad ass...with a bad ass sword.

Venom.

He remains to be my favourite comic-book character for both badassery and looking cool.

I guess you could say he's an Anti-Hero, he doesn't help the people in the Castle out of 'good' but because he wanted to escape.

I wonder if a lot of these guys like the Punisher count as anti-heroes anymore. Considering the popularity of gritty/anti-social protagonists since the 90s in a lot of mediums its hard to consider a lot of them anti-heroes because societal definitions of a hero have changed to accomodate them.

I'll go with Iago from Shakespeare's Othello. He's the villian of the piece but is the most interesting character and the one who leaves the biggest impression on the audience and the best written.

You know I was going to say Riddick but now that I think about it, he wasn't really an anti-hero. More like an ornery hero.

So that asside I'm gonna go with Conker. Everyone loves Conker right?
