I'm not talking about a developer, I'm talking about one specific person that you feel contributes most to the video games you love, or is at least the most recognizeable of the people working on it.

My favorite is Yoshifumi Hashimoto and Yasuhiro Wada, producer and creater respectively of the Harvest Moon/Rune Factory franchise.

Same. I don't really know game devs much.

Sid Meier, maybe?

I quite enjoy most of what Itagaki has done in the past and look forward to what his new studio will put forward. Most of his games certainly haven't been flawless, but they have a unique feel and energy that resonates with me.

Ooff, too many to list I think... Yuji Naka (Sonic), Yu Suzuki (Shenmue) and Gabe Newell (I don't really need to explain this one, do I?) have probably the ones most influential for me, but there are lots more that I think are great. Suda51, Sid Meier (although I think he's a bit too high on his pedestal), Ragnar Tornquist, Hideki Kamiya, Hironobu Sakaguchi... the list could just go on and on.

Between There and There.
Country
The Wide, Brown One.
Tim Cain, Chris Avellone, Warren Spector, Sid Meier and the flawed, fractured, completely random and batshit genius of Peter Molyneux (for his pre Black and White titles only, the new titles can die of rectal cancer).

... and for a REAL blast from the past JEFF fucking MINTER

Miyamoto, Molyneaux, Wright and Meier all spring to mind as I have multiple games that I love made by all of them.

To be honest though I haven't always paid that much attention to who it is that makes a lot of the games that I buy so there are probly plenty of others that have made several games I have liked witout me knowing.
