Gotta go with Leliana from Dragon Age. No matter which gender I roll in that game, I always shack up with Leliana.

Veronica Santangelo from Fallout New Vegas -

A little less sarcasm would be nice, but I put that down to characters having a ridiculously small amount of lines in the game. I didn't choose an in-game image for her because to be honest, New Vegas had some terribly character designs (although so did F3), so here is some cute fan art:

Veronica!
How can I forget her!
Sure she may not be into guys, and sure Boone is the more viable companion. But if theres someone I wanna hear make witty sarcasm and one-liners while she falcon punches raiders into ragdolls its her. ^_^

Also Dante, as a kid the guy was like an idol. I'm straight, but even I would drop my pants for him.

I've been playing Tales of Graces recently and Pascal's been bothering me because of this thread's very subject.
I mean, I really like her design and I like tomboyish, techy ladies in games, but Pascal herself can just be so gosh darn irritating.

I guess I'll say Asuka from Tekken for the same tomboy-design reason, but that's a more boring answer.

There are three that really pull at me, in order from when I first interacted with the characters. Tali of ME, Merril of DA2, and Neeshka of Neverwinter Nights 2. breaks my heart to see both Tali and Merril get upset during the games. Neeshka I just like everything about.
Oh Merril, i really liked her. Sadly she also best shows why i hate the story of DA 2. I mean she is just so cute and adorable, the only character model were the new artstyle actually looks good, but her actions are just sooo damn stupid, for plot reasons. It's pretty pathetic that bioware couldn't think of another way to make thinks dramatic other than: Everyone wents insane.

But back on Topic:
Hmm crushes in video game character's? Sorry but i can't really say i had some. I felt much sympathy to some of them. And on the male side there are some character's i could totally imagine being best bros in rl, but a real crush, not really. We do have a lot of good female character's in gaming but at least for me i haven't encountered any that were THAT good character's.
If non-game, but fictional, character's count i kinda have a crush on daenerys from Asoiaf/GoT.

Definitely Tali, Morrigan, probably Liara too, Merrill as well, even if she does strike me as naive. I'm heterosexual and I would bang Garrus and Fenris, probably Zevran
too because he's hilarious.

From non Bioware games, Ellie from The Last of Us (what, she acts older than she is...shut up) and Hinata from Naruto (technically she is in games too).

Honestly, from just games, if I had Liara T'Soni from Mass Effect, I would be a very happy man.

I liked her best because I think the relationship with her has a very interesting arc over the course of all three games, the kind that Tali, Jack, Ashley, and Miranda don't quite have.

I mean, hey, she saved you from being sold to the Collectors by the Shadow Broker, and became a broker to combat him so that it couldn't be repeated and to save the one that helped her help you. That's love, right there.

I also love her breathy voice when she's being a bit flirty. Like the point in Citadel DLC when, if she's your LI or if you have no LI that can help you, they way she puts her hands on her hips and says 'Having a bad day, Shepard?', I was all 'You, Doctor, are trying to seduce me...And it is working!!'.

Besides that, I love a woman who can research the hell out of stuff like she can. What can I say? I like a girl that I can't argue with. Not because she's stubborn and won't "let" me win, but because she's thought things through to a point where I say 'Sounds good', and have nothing to contradict.

And hey, having a girlfriend that's the biggest information broker in the galaxy is just badass.

For similar reasons about research, I also love Nico Robin from One Piece (hey, she's been in games). Oddly enough, they're both archeologists. That is completely coincidental, but they both happen to be similar in how they conduct themselves.

Huh. Maybe I should try to find an archeologist girlfriend...

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've already won the Great Chie Wars. No need for another casualty.

Surprised how many anime characters are in this thread, not surprised in the least how many bioware characters are, it's good to see people like some depth rather than just a picture

Isaac Clarke in Dead Space 2. He's badass, smart, funny at times, and pretty damn attractive for a guy who's supposed to be 46 years old:

It also helps that he's one of the only action game protagonists I can name that isn't a casual killer. He kills all of two people by the end of Dead Space 2, and they're both major characters during very intense, intimate scenes. It really helped drive home the fact that he's not a hardened soldier, but a normal guy stuck in an extreme situation, which did a lot to make him much more relatable and likable than any other game protagonist I've encountered. I seriously wanted to just reach into the screen and give him a hug throughout the whole game.

I'd be less concerned with the size of your list, and more concerned with the fact that one of your picks is an undead, reality-warping rapist who can melt people's flesh with her mind.

Fem!Shep. I think I actively love that woman, which is mildly embarrassing.
Yes, I can see the embarassment coming. Would it make things better or worse for you if you, like me, modelled Shepard after Julia Gillard.

Personally, I was rather disgusted with BioWare when they ran their election for the model Jane Shepard. None of the candidates looked old enough to run for Prime Minister of Australia.
You've ruined Mass Effect for me.

Damn, now I want to replay the series with a Manshep that looks like K-Rudd.

In general order of impact in my life:

Call me old fashioned but I liked FF7 Tifa, and still do. She's beautiful, through and through, inside and out, and she can demolish pretty much anything under the sun all on her own. I never was a huge fan of her AC revamp, though.

Star from Yie Ar Kung Fu was before even Tifa as it came out in 1985. Simple, yet elegant in her own way but she's my first lady of fighting games even though I couldn't play as her, and she kicked my ass more than once. I was shocked seeing her in my youth. I hadn't seen many women fighting before then. She said nothing, and had no known character but her throwing stars bullseyed my young, prepubescent heart. :p
Hyadain's Yie Ar Kung Fu song was pretty nice.

It's prolly cheating to say Motoko Kusanagi as she's an anime character/manga character first, videogame character second, but I enjoyed her roles in the psx fuchikoma piloting game, and Stand Alone complex for ps2.
I pine for the day when I can be in her shoes as a mostly converted cyborg that looks that spectacular. :p

Chun Li stands out as a strong contender. I generally enjoy seeing her in action.

The women of Koei are nice (largely Warriors Orochi, Dynasty Warriors, and Samurai Warriors). They're usually married, though. :p

Tali from Mass Effect made me fall in love with Quarians as a people, and I am always bummed in knoweing my femshep never had her as a romance option.

I like beautiful, compitent, intelligent, powerful women. They can have flaws, certainly.

Not many guys really stand out that I can remember crushing hugely on.
Zhou Yu, Ling Tong, and Jiang Wei from Dynasty Warriors are pretty awesome, though.
The recent Batman games had a nice batman, thanks to Kevin Conroy voicing them.

Wrex and Garrus from ME are cool in my book. garrus knew the way to my heart via his gift of armor piercing ammo. :p
I warmed up to Zaeed quickly in ME2, and 3.

Crushes at the 90s were near non-existant due to not even being a teen yet, but the closest might be a 3-way draw between Ocarina of Time's Impa, Sheik or the Bombchu Lady, later on it moved onto Celes Chere of FF6 sometime during 2000, Sheik's appreciation got up during Melee due to actually doing things, eventually giving way to Salon Maiden Anabel from Pokemon Emerald in 2005, it then jumped to Arche and Mint after playing the GBA remake of Tales of Phantasia...

Think these days, it's either Fang (Au something..?) from Final Fantasy XIII, or countless Pokemon characters, wherever it's from the games' canon or otherwise; May (Anime), Blue (Leaf, Adventures), Francesca (Anime), Anabel, heck, it even extends to one-shot characters who doesn't even have names like that tuxedo woman from A Connoisseur's Revenge.
