Sure, people claim it's overated, but though I just got into the series with the original, I thought it was good.

And yeah, Call of Duty is virtually the same exact game running on the same exact engine after 4, but the campaigns are at least fun to play through. Not to mention there's some good parts outside of that (Spec Ops, Zombie mode). Yeah, Multiplayer is extremely unbalanced, and it's an endless stream of 8 year olds who should never have mics, but you can mute them, and there's someparts where it can be fun.

Not sure if serious...

In any case, your very username is one of the reasons why they are hated: They are generic. Look at games like Deus Ex (the original), Half-Life 2, TF2, and others to see how shooters can be original, creative, and fun. Also, compared to other generic shooters (i.e. the Unreal and Quake series) Halo and CoD are boring.

Well... does that sound like something that should be the best-selling game of all time to you?

Took the words right out of my mouth. I also don't like the single player campaign for MW2 and BO and both halos and MW2/BO fan base really make me enjoy TF2 even more. For example, I've never been T-bagged for being a newbie player on TF2.

Only became best seller because people are rather dumb, no offense, and are too scared to go out and try something new. They rather stick to a game that all their "friends" are playing

The samething I say everytime I see someone making a thread that hates on CoD. Better to leave it alone now.
Word. Still at least it's breaking up the "My platform is better" and "I don't like this game that someone else does" arguments.

How is a game about a super soldier wielding laser like weapons and doing inhuman things boring?

I can excuse CoD but Halo does not deserve the hate it gets.
