I'm kind of sick of seeing this complaint.Wuggy said:I know, and I extend my furious dismissal in their direction as well. My main quarrel is that people just don't use the search bar.GameMaNiAC said:Yes, it has been done thousands of times. But then you realize that there are even more "CoD sucks, boo hoo" threads.Wuggy said:Seriously, this crap again? I mean... SERIOUSLY!? This has been done hundreds, thousands... MILLIONS time over (Ok, I may be bending the numbers a bit there). Maybe "all the hate" is because people have different opinions and tastes than you do. There is plethora of more specific reasons already expressed, if you use the search bar.
LOL! I think he's coming onto you, dude.sravankb said:wut.fine1 said:Stop trying "tricks". Be direct and tell him. Ask him for a date. This is the 21st century you can be who you want to be. Go toa movie and snuggle or hold his hand. If he doesn't get that=give up.![]()
No seriously, what? Did you type this in the wrong window or something?

I hate this response more than any. This excuse hasn't worked on a plethora of games in the past, from the Mario platformers to the Half-Life sequels. "More of the same" is not a bad thing. The problem is when it's not a very good thing...Flack said:A lot of the hate comes from the fact that MW2, Black Ops, and most likely MW3 is just more of the same thing.
I hope it was intentional, because it's the most awesomely random response ever.sravankb said:wut.fine1 said:Stop trying "tricks". Be direct and tell him. Ask him for a date. Objection: I don't care about how popular it is. I care about how little fun I find it to be. Along with Halo. And Gears of War. Haven't tried the others you listed. And, yes, the more of the same argument does apply. The guns are (to my mind) functionally the same. The mechanics are designed to be dull, and reduce tension. It isn't interesting.Uncle_Brainhorn said:Because it's popular, and it's "cool" to hate popular things.
And I don't buy into the "more of the same" crap. Every GTA since the third was more of the same, and people love it. Every Metal Gear game has been more of the same. Every Halo, God of War, Gears of War, etc etc etc have been more of the same.
Because they're sequels. They change enough to be fresh, but are similar enough that it's still the same franchise you like.
And not succumbing to the current trend of COMPLETELY changing a games formula is just a safe move. I don't think the next Call of Duty will be a kart racer, and I'm glad for it.

And it will be a thousand more, because people are too self-important to search.Pinkamena said:![]()
Haven't this been asked/brought up a thousand times already?
Well, you have to agree that Metro is kind of an aquired taste. It's got great atmosphere but on a technical level, it was downright horrid. Now I'm a big fan of the game but I can see why most don't like it.NavalFluff said:I completely understand that. No gamer group has every pissed me off more then the MW crowd. Even more than Gears.Saelune said:Well, I know -I- hate the people. I love MW2...saying anything else would be a lie. But I hate the people that play it. Quick-scopers (cheating), noob tubers, AA-12 "shotgun", and the machismo meatheads.
