honestly, i cant figure out why so many big titles are coming out in November.

i am so bored of all my games, no big games have been released as of late, if one came out now it would make a killing

why release them at the same time and limit your sales?

can anyone actually tell me?

Primarily due to the holiday sales season. Releasing in November gets you on the shelves a little bit ahead of Black Friday (in the states, I don't know if other countries also have a similar event), which is the biggest sales day of the year. Some will release a bit ahead of it by a couple of months to be the only new game out for a few weeks, others will have used polish times to launch just in time for Holiday.

its just before christmas, but not so close that people have to rush to buy it.

I think that makes sense
This. Videogames are all mostly released just before the holiday season as they make a large amount of money off of people buying them for their family/friends as gifts.

Because it's close to X-mas. And thus, we are left to languish in the coming months until then.

This has been a brutal summer for gaming. Thank God for the Summer of Arcade (minus the Kinect game anyway). I had thought publishers were starting to embrace a more diverse release schedule what with so many great games in recent years coming out with non-holiday releases. Then this year arrives and it's been a sparse release schedule with nothing huge since early June.

Now Deus Ex drops on the 23rd and there is literally at least one top tier game that I want to play each and every week until Thanksgiving. No way I'll have the time or money to get them all. Shame really. If even 2 of them had opted for summer release I'd have been playing them like a religion.

November releases work for me... gives me something to ask for for my birthday. Buy what I can, hope the rest are gifted. :p

Agreed with prior points, though, big releases getting shored up and dumped on consumers in an epic deluge of win kinda sucks, when it comes right down to it. Summer releases would be nice for kids in school, giving them a game to play without silly things like edumacation getting in the way. No offense (well ok, maybe a little) to said kids, but I grow weary of them and their ilk on Champions Online... >_>

To remind us we are just money bags to the publishers , games do get released all during the years , just the ones that everone are hyped about Nd the ones that get advertised the most come out near christmas time . We even got retards making threads on "what class are you going to play in skyrim " when the game is like 2 months away . If you look at some less over hyped and over advertised games , you'll realise some pretty decent games are being released all during the year.
