Why are the videos getting more badly pixelated?

Since I can't post threads in the featured video section, I may as well post it here.

I've been noticing that videos have been getting worse in terms of picture quality. Here's an example from MovieBob's District 9 review.

GOOD FREAKING GOD! That looks worse than anything I've ever seen on Google Video. It's not a new thing, either; it's been happening for several months.

What's the deal with this sudden jump in video pixelation? Were the original videos badly compressed before they were uploaded, or is it the Flash player's fault? It's really becoming a sight for sore eyes.

More and more people have access to make and knowledge of making videos.
Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to make good videos.

I don't think that's the video quality, i think that's moviebob rendering pictures in Jpeg
The odd thing is that the picture doesn't look like this the entire time. It's a still image that lasts several seconds, and during that small time frame, the quality switches between decent-looking and badly pixelated on a whim. It happens constantly throughout each video.
