Ok, seriously. The only reason we exist is that each of us is being roleplayed by a nerd at a friend's house. They have our "statistics" on sheets, and each of us has a "class", "level" and set of skills/"feats". Each of our decisions is not really ours to make, but rather the decision of the person "role playing" us.

Perhaps the greatest question mankind has yet to answer, but is there an answer?
(i don't care if this has been done before so don't bother saying it)

Many ask the question "why?", i say does there have to be a "why?", do we need to search for a purpose or choose our own?.
I believe we are the result of a great cosmic coincidence, and i believe that being the result of a great coincidence would be a great thing, because i believe in choosing my own purpose rather than searching the heavens for one.

If you have chosen a purpose, what is it?

I chose mine to be to mastering the art of physical movement and understanding the mental and physical processes that take place, to study human speed and agility, and use it in my every day life to overcome any obstacle

What do you think?
Thats a Awesome purpose

my one is

to become extremely high in power and prove everyone wrong on how they are running soceity and then form the world into a functioning and a masterpiecie of creation

then pass away leaving the memory of the greatest leader ever lived and have my soul go to heavan next to the great mans side

It's true. Not sure if everyone has seen this but it certainly makes me laugh every time.

Actually, the greatest question is, where will Assassins Creed 2 take place?

On topic, its not why that I think about, its how... seeing as I don't believe in, I'm curious as to how the "Big Bang" actually happened, and how life on Earth started.
The big bang is the biggest puzzle though. I'm not religious and be damned if I believe the creation story, but am a little bemused how nothing at all managed to explode, producing the universe

Why are we here?
What's life all about?
Are we really real...
Or is there some doubt?
Tonight, we're going
to sort it all out,
For, tonight, it's 'The Meaning of Life'

It's one of Life's great mysteries, isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God, watching everything? Y'know, with a plan for us 'n' stuff. I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night.

Because if humanity wasn't there, I would get bored, so the concept of "free Will" and sentience seperate from my own are only means of entertaining myself until I get tired of it all. All In All, this world is just a part of my consciousness seeking to entertain itself.

(If you understood that, good for you, just remember, I'm a narcissist because I deserve to be)

42.

Why do we need a reason to be here? Cant humanity just accept the fact evolution happened and be done with it?

I don't want to think to much on this subject, I have done it before and I had a headache for 2 weeks.

We are here to continue the species. The species is here because it is here.

Spin it to fit any power-grabbing religion you want, it doesn't matter. The great thing about existing for no reason is that you can pretend to exist for any reason you like and you aren't getting in the way of the original goal of nothing. Technically the only 'bad' thing to do would be to extinct the whole human race, but then that's the species' problem, not yours.

I don't know why YOU peasants are here, but I'm here to eat a lot of Funyuns and drink a lot of Dr. Pepper.

So far, I'm doing my duty.

I guess it's a rite of passage of a sorts, living I mean. I'm not sure what else it could be.

Though sometimes I'm tempted to be the cynical bastard and say "no fucking good reason.", But screw that. Cop out.

EDIT - I'm also certain it has something to do with getting up at 8 in the morning to listen to Pantera and play Saints Row 2. Or it could just be me.

We are here to live and to die. Nothing else will make a difference, unless you blow up the world or something, but I don't think many people do that.
I don't believe there is a purpose for us being here. We just are and in a couple of years we won't and then there'll be others.
