Right now I'm here because I was catching up with Escapist vids, saw a thread that caught my eye, was really bored and figured I might as well prance through the forums again.

What could I be doing right now? Well, I could be doing a lot of things to a lot of people but all my friends are busy so I'm kind of hanging out alone... Also, I suppose I could be looking for a new job online but meh, whatever.

Although! I could be finishing the 3rd book in the Song of Ice and Fire and starting on the Great Gatsby. :O

And later I'll go to pick up the fourth in the SoI&F. And then the fifth book. And then wait for the sixth and 3rd season of the Game of Thrones.

So, what's it like being a stand up comedian?

OT: Well, I'm on the tail end of a fever. By my calculations [http://roccosrevolution.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/docbrown.jpg], I should be fully recovered by Tuesday, which is the day I'm going bowling with some friends. How convenient.

So, all in all, I'm just chilling.

It isn't that bad; you have your good nights and you have your bad. Thankfully, I experienced my first good night before I experienced my first bad night. Coming up with material isn't that difficult, either - it just depends on the crowd. I took heed of George Carlin's words regarding getting into comedy, "If it worked once, it should work every time. It's not you, it's them."

But I have to admit, I'm more of a stand-up philosopher than I am a comedian - but there's plenty of comedy in my material.

That's what I've done a few times. It's alright, once you make it past the first 30 seconds or so and get that first chuckle, the rest is gravy - bad or good night. Though, you should've seen the first reaction I got when I said "Those who inherit and carry the Y chromosome are the scourge of the fucking universe" in a equal crowd of men and women. I will never forget the looks on some of their faces, just awesome. >
