So these threads have been popping up like...like... moles, I guess? Ah well. I started down that road and now I must pay the price! But I figure, you don't want to hear someone else moan about their problems. YOU want to moan about YOUR problems! or at least why you despise every human ever.

Now go. Post out on the wide, wide internet. Spread your ideas to the wind and watch as some troll eats them. But that can't keep trhem down! They will burst from that trolls belly in a shower of green slime and fly, fly AAAAAWWWWWWAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Personally, I'm losing faith in humanity 'cause that's what the cool kids are doing, and I've got to be hip, yo dawg.

Because having no faith in humanity is pretty much common place here, this thread will probably get at least 100 replies by people who think they have lost faith in humanity. Personally, I have not lost faith in humanity, I like to think that there is always good in the world and random twats don't keep me from having that opinion.

Funnily enough, pretty much every day reinforces my faith in humanity. Even a homeless Eastern European confronting me on the street to ask for a gym referral letter made me feel happy with my community. It felt good to know that the work I'd done for the other homeless people had gotten me recognised, so now they see me as somebody who'll help them.

Working with these people - these shoplifters and ex-convicts - always helps. They've got a terrible life. They came to a land they thought could help them, and wound up living and fighting on its streets. And yet, when they all come together, they are unified and good-natured.

And then there's these people that make people cry about losing faith in humanity. Well, those people are the exception to the rule. And they pay the price for it. So why does everybody look at them and then declare the incredibly arrogant 'I've lost faith in humanity'.
Well, just that statement actually offends me. Humanity does not give two shits whether you have 'faith' in it or not. If you see a bad thing happening, and your first thought is to run home and declare you've lost faith in humanity, then you, my friend, are the reason you've lost faith. When people act as a community, and not as individuals, things improve. Losing faith in humanity is the most individualistic thing you could possibly do, and anybody who does this needs a slap.

I am losing my faith because it always seems that most people simply want something out of you. "Good for the sake of good" is dead, it seems.

I'm not losing faith in humanity, I've given up caring in humanity. Apathy has kept me sane.

Well... You know, that would sort of be counter productive, wouldn't it? Because now people like you have all lost faith in humanity, and you've created a chain.

I'm not losing my faith in humanity because I know way down deep inside that there's still hope for us to become better. We survived the Dark Ages, we have internet pornography and said internet with which we have access to more knowledge than God. Plus our art, literature and music are pretty much a gigantic monument to our awesomness and willingness to make good things better.

But there are always those moments that make me shake my head at humanity and ask: ''Why?''

To quote an old saying "the garden might smell of shit but the roses aint half beautiful"

Too many people on these forums focus in on the bad and then decry how crappy everything is in a vain attempt to appear wise and wordly, in truth they're just adolescents gripped by angst and will grow out of it in a few years, all that cynicism is bad for the soul.

Just watch the news. Half the world is killing each other either because of some power mad butcher or because they belive their god told them to and the other half is slowly sinking into economic ruin because some wanker bankers fucked around with all the money so now nobody has any. Apart from the fucking bankers that is.

Oh my gosh you read my mind! I love hearing myself talk!

I'm losing faith in humanity simply because of the sheer amount of problems we've created within society. Things such as racism, sexism, an expanding gap between the rich and the poor, the problems being brought up due to capitalism, the mess that is politics today, and other things. The sad thing is that there's such a small percentage of people who study these things and even attempt to at least be aware of them. There's too many people who remain ignorant and have no interest in learning or fixing these problems. It's too much. Humanity is doomed I tell you DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED

Also I've seen too many people push the limitations of stupidity and ignorance to the limit. It's insane.

Quote:
Person: "Ugh aren't racist people just the worst?"
Me: "Yeah, I know."
Person: "They're so gay! >:O"
Me: *Facepalm*

The Jersey Shore! Ba-Dum-Tish

Seriously though i haven't quite lost faith in humanity as a whole, just certain groups of people.

Like politicians, religious leaders and terrorists(As if there's any real difference >.>)

Individuality is a good thing, crowds are mindless, and because of their existence the world is a less pretty place to live. I really like persons, but not groups.

I lost faith in humanity, not in humans ;)

Ofcourse this is only my opinion based on my own life.
