and this is my response
I love how you ignored the previous post (which was very well written out and I enjoyed reading and agree with) and posted a childish, boring and old picture. Fantastic. Clicks to you.

While I respect peoples choices to be vegetarian, I don't think I could ever do it myself. I tend not to mind about eating animals, we are animals, animals eat other animals. Also god okay'd it so I've got no problem there either.

I do tend to worry about people that are vegetarian though, mainly because if they don't know what they're doing they could end up doing serious damage to themselves.

Though if they actually take care of themselves and don't throw it in peoples faces, I like the fact they're actually acting on what they believe is right.

Human rights reasons. Something like 90% of grain produced goes to feeding livestock for meat, which I think is a wasteful cycle, because all that excess could be given to the poor peoples of the world to solve global hunger. Also, because I live in Australia, I think that the damage done to the environment and native animals by irrigation and grazing land is especially pertinent.
right so your even worse than someone who eats meat, you are cruel to animals and want them to suffer and die

here's the thing that "excess" grain as you call it is NEEDED by those animals to live, if they don't get it they starve and die. and that's what you support, making those animals starve to death

I'm a big carnivore and although humans are supposed to be herbivores, we can eat whatever we want.
actually no we are NOT supposed to be herbivores. anyone that claims that's true has no idea about biology and anatomy.

if we were supposed to be herbivores we would not have 2 sets of canine teeth (those pointy ones) nor would we have the incisor teeth in the front of our mouths. the only purpose for those teeth are for ripping and tearing flesh

if we were meant to be herbivores we would have all big flat teeth that are good for grinding up our food and nothing for tearing and biting.

What I saw inside that box, intently turned me off meat. Not only was it covered in files, but the smell...oh the smell was horrible, and it was a nasty shade of green. Lucky for me I hadn't eaten yet, so I made Mike (my co-worker and fellow cook) throw it out,I had had forever sworn off meat.
if that's all it takes, do you want me to turn you off vegetables and fruit for good as well?

cause all i have to do is the exact same thing, leave them out in the sun for a couple days in a plastic bag and they will smell pretty foul and have flies and maggots crawling out of them.

i'm guessing you've never smelt a compost heap before, it smells as bad as rotting meat. in fact most things smell bad when they rot.

If I were to go vegetarian it would probably be for health reasons. As it is I'm probably eatiing too much red meat.

No one has said that some meats taste so good. Its kind of unhealthy, but it tastes so good.

Sure, some vegetable taste fine. Fruits taste great (especially Apples) But, I try to keep a balanced diet. But my diet always seems to be meat heavy.

Oh clever, I used to think you were smart. You ever realize that if people stop eating more meat, the companies will produce less animals. Also, cows can eat grass. They don't realize that cows have organs that can break the grass down into protein before it reaches their stomachs. But we feed them grain so it will give them the same amount of protein.

Say, like those ones we have in the back of our mouths? We're omnivores. Even carnivores need to have a balanced diet which they achieve from eating the stomach content of the animals they kill (herbivores usually). An animal cannot only eat meat alone, but can with vegetables. Funny, huh?

You realize if you go off fruit or vegetables you'll do yourself so much harm but if you go off meat you can live healthily. Telling someone to stop eating fruit is idiotic unless your some sort of pill supplement company.

I did it for health related reasons and I don't really agree with the meat industries process.

I'm only sort of a 'half-vegetarian' if you will. Red meat tastes absolutely horrid to me, however I can usually deal with fish. Why is this? I got food poisoning when I was little, nearly died, meat has lost its flavor to me since then.

I am vegetarian because it makes my girlfriend happy, :).
Oh man, you're perfect for an experiment I want to do. If this is just because of your girlfriend and not because of your own reasons that you may have looked into, how long has it been? And has fasting on meat for this long made you feel differently towards it? Have you been more focused on your diet then before?

I get that sometimes but then I realize I can do the same... but add something other then meat into it.
