Hard for me to explain my talent. Sometimes I just SEE a solution, and can implement it or only very simply explain how to accomplish it to others, but not how I arrived at the conclusion.
i am abit that way too, also stuff thats logical, my first year economics class was easy, i couldn't understand how people didn't understand any of this stuff to begin with.
I know what you mean. I can do something, but I can't for the life of me say how I did it.

I can't draw either... But hey, that didn't stop me creating a comic about Fruit Aliens when I was 10 :)
Ditto, except I did 'Fatman'.

True.

I also forgot to mention reading music. I've been able to read the Bass and Treble Clefs since the age of 6, but there are people (including drummers and guitarists) who just can't.
I look at it, and wonder why they can't tell what duration or pitch the note is. It ain't hard.

In my case, it's about NOT doing something, as opposed to others.

I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs. (I also have very few friends, it's all related).
Nice someone who doesn't drink and the such, if you need alcohol to have fun then that is pretty lame in my opinion.

I'm pretty good at time management. I don't understand how someone can say they are too busy . When I can work full time go to school full time go to church on sunday spend time with friends and play countless hours of videogames, and I still have hours left over for whatever

I have an exceptional memory. I'm that guy in school who never does any homework and still aces all the tests. They spend an hour and half every day explaining how to solve the problems. By the time the test comes along how could you NOT know it? But apparently I am the exception.

I also understand humans really well. I've had people I barely know ask me for relationship advise and such. That's a talent I don't enjoy as much but I suppose human psycology counts as something that clicks for me that other people can't fathom.

Oh, and just for the record, the longest word in the english language in pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis and yes, I know that from memory.

I am from Germany and the last three years I attended a vocational school, where we also had English lessons for two hours each week. I guess my English isn´t perfect either, but most people in my class could not even read a simple text, let alone form a coherent sentence. I mean, they were between 18 and 25 years old and in our country, you learn English at school from the fifth grade on, when you´re 12. So, on topic: English. Spelling is another thing, at least in German I can write quite some pages without making spelling errors. I know people who can´t write two sentences without mistake.

On the other hand, I, too, can´t draw anything that is more complex than a square or a stick figure.

This. Why do people find sheet music so hard to read?

Drummers dont play an instrument that uses Bass or Treble so like.. yeah.. I really dont think its their fault.. I wouldnt expect a singer or guitarest to know how to read drum notation

As for guitarists, reading chord charts would be a lot more useful but reading notation would still be handy.. I blame tabs.

I can't read it because I don't have a very mathmatical mind, so I see the rythm of the note but I can't register how long it should be in my head without thinking about it. There seems to be two kinds of musicians - those who learn/write music in a mathmatical kind of way (learning formulas for key changes etc) and those who learn/write instinctively. It seems I'm the latter.

I don't get sports. I mean I can understand running for a little buzz and a healthy heart, but kicking a ball and getting cold, muddy bits? I really don't get it.

I can recall peoples faces from memory even if I've only seen them for a second, this especially becomes a problem on Myspace/Facebook because when I see someone out who I know from those sites I will go up to them and say that I know them, bad move, I'm surprised I haven't been maced yet lol

I also noticed with some friends, my brothers and especially me ex-gf some years ago, how people can completely fail at diplomacy. For example, if you are trying to convince your parents to allow you something, I understand that it is generally a bad idea to insult them and yell at them only one minute into the conversation. They did not.

But my point of view has drawbacks. As I am effectively unable to be angry or even raise my voice in a discussion, I sometimes fail to assert my claims.

i still don't understand how some people have difficulty connecting anything to their TV. i mean how do they think this stuff works? what model in their head is preventing them from grasping the concept of input versus output?

Drawing when you have some kind of model. I can't understand why is it so difficult for people to just draw exactly what they see.
It's different without a model because you can't get an accurate look of the thing you are drawing.
I can't get my hand to do exactly what I see no matter how hard I try. I believe if I got more practice I would be really good because my dad and Uncle are fantastic artists. My uncle considerably more than my dad but you get what I mean.

Just like Lord Krunk, I am very good at spelling. I was back up to go to the state spelling bee. I am also pretty good at reading music. In fact, I'm pretty much the opposite of most musicians in that I can't play by ear. I hear the note and I can't tell which one it is. I know when a note sounds wrong but my ears can't tell the difference between notes on the same string.
