Had a friend who told me the show suffered from DBZ syndrome. Watched some of a fight, and realized, "Fuck! He was right, it took them 5 episodes to finish a fight." Im waiting for Bleach Abridged before I bother watching anything related again...

The first law of all media something will only stop being made when it stops makeing money, not when it stops being good.

I agree, it should have ended when he beat the main antagonist.
The new stuff seems a lot like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, in my opinion. And not the superawesome first few arcs, but the later, weirder ones...

Honestly I was hoping they wouldn't restart it with ichigo but rather with his little sister, bring a new character in, I mean after all ichigo already hit the top of his power, beyond godly is pretty much all you should ever need and from here on out it will just be repeating his old growth with a different origin.

His little sister on the other hand could bring in an entirely new set of powers, the change from a male to female character would make it so the mushy bits would be rather different, plus she would start differently from Ichigo and that would change quite a bit. I'm not against keeping the bleach universe alive but Ichigo should have finished I totally agree, I mean hell they even put in a point where she conceivably could have taken over the family business of making mangas for all us fans to read.
I was actually hoping for this, too.

It would've been really interesting to see Ichigo's sister take the reigns, and watch her grow into her powers and maybe discover some new mysteries. Ichigo could still be there, watching from the side lines as a mentor or something. The whole reason I kept reading after Aizen's defeat was because I thought they were actually going this route.

Instead they reset the entire story and have Ichigo bumbling along to acquire his power agian. I'm done with this series.

My vote would go to Jump not liking to let popular things die. They did the same thing to Dragonball Z back in the day.I too would loved to have had Bleach end with the Aizen arc. That whole arc was so pitiful and anticlimactic I really don't see why anyone would want more.

they had a chance to stop at the point were ichigo lost his powers, could never see some of his friends again as a result of losing his powers, and the big antagonist lost. it was a decent ending to a show that should have ended long a long time ago.

but no they just have to keep milking every dollar out of it. to extend the show they do something original(sarcasm). they make a way for his powers to return just like they did in the beginning of the show and also add some other random antagonist. who knows whats next after this but you can assume more fights and more faceless antagonist whit a empty

so far i am unimpressed it's current story and fullbring so far but i will read till the end. as for the anime there no point in watching it when the manga is ahead and has no fillers. the only reason i made this far is i general just watched/read for the occasional good fight and for clouser

on a unrelated topic the Zanpakutō Unknown ark was the only filler worth watching and the rest was crap. i may watch the current filler after all of to episode have aired to see if it is any good but i highly doubt it will be good. it's likely i will just skip thought all dull part while watching

at least this show has taught me to stop watch an anime when hit the wall and starts going down hill. instead of saying it just 20 minutes a week even if it sucks while waiting for a good episode. so congratulation money milking creator of bleach for teaching me avoid the kind of stuff people like him make.
The new arc was "okay" at best, but what REALLY hit a nerve for me was that Ichigo's real body cannot take the same dmg his spirit did. REALLY!? So all that **** he went through for..weeks, months...? means absolutely nothing now? Wow, talk about ignoring hard work and skill with instant power-up.

i started 5 watching bleach episodes every day and i fuckin loved it. I kept watching and watching and it only got better. But i was always afraid that when i hit the last released episode i will have to start the wait every week. BUT because i am the luckiest bastard ever apparently ,WHEN i reached the last released episode, it happened to be the one in witch ichigo loses his powers. I watched it and then completely satisfied and full stoped watching bleach forever.

Because people want more and the company wants money. I saw some of the show and simply hated it, I wonder if they're trying to pull an Inuyasha, another show I hate so much.

I think it's worth pointing out that the story probably wasn't mapped all the way out from the beginning but had some flexibility to adjust. Seen in that light, couldn't this be more of the same? Also, hopefully the next story arc will be good as well - although I agree it does seem a bit disconnected

Bleach is still going on? I was an avid viewer until a certain cake based filler episode, which turned me off the series for a year. I took it up again and made it up to 150? Something like that, but I sopped watching again. It's just sad watching a show with a great beginning turn into DBZ: topless men standing on opposites sides of the battlefield grunting at each other, all the while accumulating the power equivalence of a supernova through some incredibly convenient deus ex machina. Stupid power growth, ruins everything...

All I can say is, it?s Shonen Jump. Look at other titles that were released in the past, hit a HUGE popularity rating, and decide to continue it for the sake of continuing.

For example, you have Dragon Testicles. That series was originally supposed to end after the Freeza saga on Namik. Then they brought on the Cell Saga, and it was supposed to end there. Then they brought on the Buu Saga. And they REALLY wanted to end it there. But alas, someone took over the story writing, and came out with a pile of repetitive crap known as Dragon Testicles GT. They started with finding some way to nerf the biggest tank in Dragon Testicles, which is Goku. Then make up some clever antagonist that can cause everyone to wiz in their pants. (Though I?ll admit, the Baby saga was clever.) It just got to a point where we know how its going to end. The villain gets ridiculously powerful, the protagonists look awfully weak, then all of a sudden, they pull some super-power-hyper-oh my god I am now godly-bull crap out of the clear blue?just like when Goku punched Broly and that is the end of that.

Another example?is Naratu Sand Ninjas. Come on people, we all know this was coming. Yes, I give kudos to this anime for having a good story, and interesting characters. The problem is though, is that none of these characters are NINJAS. Ninjas are supposed to be silent assassins that rely heavily on stealth to take down their opponent without warning. These so called ?ninjas? are the total opposite. Constantly screaming, doing long hand Justus that allow them to cast SPELLS, and chant these magical words to perform the same thing. Not to mention, their choice of clothing isn?t very ninja friendly either?since when does a ninja run around in an orange jump suit, yelling at any giving moment? That is like playing Metal Gear Solid while carrying around a boom box that blares drum and bass all the time. Shoot, if there was ANY character on that show who is closest to a ninja?it?s Rock Lee. He doesn?t cast spells, doesn?t do any of the hand bull crap, and relies on his speed to get things done. With that said, Naratu Sand Ninjas is DBZ with Ninjas, or spell casters on crack.

And Detergent is pretty much the same thing as those two listed above. Only instead of going for a good storyline, fisting each other to death, or yelling like they have to take the biggest dump in the universe, they went for swords with some of the weirdest designs, boobies, and take on a ghost busters theme. Detergent WAS fun to watch if you skip all the dumb fillers, until they decided to pull another DBZ effect, and make up more needless episodes that will likely butcher the anime to the point where its not even fun to watch it anymore?its safe to say that this anime is a cash cow.

Same reason Superman, Batman and all those other comic books won't die. They have a fanbase and they make money and there's still people who want to write for it/the creator wants it to keep going.

I really have to disagree. Why can't they take it different from the normal set? It's fantasy, how boring and bland is it to be limited to what's real?

I really can't see why it can't depict something different from the real life thing. Not like many things are ever shown as they truely are.

Take the casual action flick. Cars don't explode that easily.

Cops can't go gun crazy, blowing shit up and shouting one-liners and get rewarded 'cause they stopped an over-the-top terrorist.

Yeah, once I got to the 120-ish episode I just quiet. I realized that Bleach was going to be one of those shows that never ended unless it started making a solid $0 (or yen or whatever they use in Japan) every week.

I still find Bleach entertaining. Why you expect quality from the most modern form of pulp fiction - manga and anime, I don't know.

It's pulp fiction for a reason - you find it enjoyable even if it's terrible, often BECAUSE of how terrible it is.

If you want quality, I suggest you go with a suitable probability of being impressed, and go read the classics of literature instead of complaining.

And really, stop reading something if you don't like it. What is the point? I mean really, you complain about the creator of Bleach milking money, then you (presumably, if you read it legally) read the manga, more directly supporting him than you could by watching the anime.

If you want something to end, the best way to ensure that it happens in comic terms is to stop buying it. It's a Shonen - it will go on until popularity dies. Look at Dragonball.

Because the people making it fucking love money and the longer they keep it running, the more money they can milk out of it before they leave it to die in an alley somewhere.

The stuff after he lost his powers has been more interesting than the late stuff before it, it was turning into a super sayan showdown, except with black auras instead of yellow.

Yeah, I guess it's going to continue for 10 more years or something. Although in all fairness, Kubo actually does have it all planned out and he does have an ending planned (well, so he says. Take that with some salt).

But oddly enough, I'm actually quite enjoying the new filler arc. It's so much better than what Kubo writes and the fights/animation have really been stepped up. There's a little too much Kon action and the new token filler girl is fucking irritating, but other than that it's been great.

I'm finding myself looking more forward to the filler anime than the actual manga every week.

And you can blame the Japanese fan base for the Arrancar arc taking so bloody long. Apparently it was supposed to be much much shorter, but the Japanese fans just loved the Arrancars so much that he drew it out much longer. (stupid fans, what do they know...)
