It seems we're going to have ENN just once every two weeks, instead of once a week. What's up with that?

I thought this another thread about sexuality. I'm less interested than I thought I would be...

I don't keep up with ENN myself, but judging from my own experience, there's probably been a memo or something about it, that you just happened to miss...

Because the group already makes 3 other videos on this site.
Because it is one of the lesser viewed series if I'm observing correctly.
and because we're probably gonna be bringing in the Film Festival winners for March Mayhem.

It's my favorite on the site after ZP :( I was saddened it became less frequent as it's a mock news program and by the time it comes out the news they're parodying has well passed etc.

Seriously underrated, funny and clever show...

Yea, Trogdor, that's how I felt.
I watch that show right after ZP, and find it very funny and clever. But I can see how a low number of views would get them to make it bi-weekly.

On a side note, I really hate the Daily Drop. On another side note, why *are* there so many posts about sexuality?

Italgreif, because sexuality is so downright interesting to so many people, and because, at least in America, being settled by Puritans, we're downright obsessed by it, much more so than other countries where it is viewed as something natural and right. And with some threads, because people are curious about other sexualities. So threads about bisexuals or homosexuals or asexuals or transsexuals, etc. are sort of like the freakshow, where ignorant people can stare in wonder at the people unlike them on display. And I don't mean that in a nasty way. People unlike onesself are either fascinating or repelling (depending on one's outlook) and there's the "Ooh, different!" factor. The repelled ones tend to flame the people on the thread, while the fascinated ask questions, generally and seek to understand.

We seem to have a very sexually diverse community, with a surprising portion of the community falling under the LGBT banner[footnote]There's a "Your sexuality" thread every couple of months, the last time I checked was a few months ago with the most recent one. I think it was maybe 65-70% Gay/Bisexual[/footnote] so the topics follow on.

OT: Because it wasn't getting a high enough viewership. Personally, I enjoyed it and I was saddened when it turned bi-weekly, but we have to live with it being bi-weekly. They did mention in a bi-weekly episode that it was becoming bi-weekly the week after it turned bi-weekly. Bi-weekly.

I have to disagree with you there. I don't think it's difference from the self that people find attention grabbing. It's difference from their projected view of normality. You wouldn't look at an alien made of purple, pulsating goop and think "That's different from me" You'd think "That's not normal"

Remember, Cap'n Ninja, those were only of those people who replied. Threads tend to get more views than posts.

And since this has the potential to turn strange, I'll say I am straight but not narrow. :D

And I just quoted you...
Those threads tend to have polls attached, and people are comfortable to give their sexuality in a poll, but may not want to write a comment, or be able to think of one.

I dunno. I'd think, "Wow, alien." but I find some very strange things attractive, too. Like Brainiac 5 from the original Legion of Superheroes. The guy with the green skin and yellow "whites" of his eyes.

Well yeah, bad analogy, but my point is, it's abnormal, you don't come across purple pulsating goop everyday, and you don't go "Wow, cat" when you see one, or even "Wow, Asian person" (In a non-racist way)

I don't hate daily drop, it just isn't something I am inherently interested in. When they have a product I want to see break, I'll click on it.

With regards to sexuality, I'd say it is the natural result of this boards teenage and young adult population. In spite of what people might say for reasons I don't pretend to understand, sexuality and sexual discovery is an important part of one's life. And, before one really starts exploring their own sexuality, discussing it offers an outlet where one can take their first steps or perhaps clarify their own nebulous ideas.

I liked ENN and watched it weekly, bit sad it went bi. Also wasn't overly keen on this weeks format - kinda like they were phoning it in...

"Hi, welcome to ENN Newsroom, we're trying something new this week, it's called can't be arsed"

Though ENNNNNNNNN is better than no ENNNNNNNN if they decided they had to cut it as they don't have time.
