Why did no one like "Across the Universe"?

I love the band, but I thought the movie was great. I guess that makes me a minority.

I didn't enjoy it because I'm not a Beatles fan.
So a movie that featured their music all the time was not pleasant to me.
Plus, the hippy thing kinda bugged me.
I know I'm closed minded, but I started to feel like it was just glorified hippie...ness, and that also hurt it.

Well it was an ok movie but it felt like it was 10 hours long! Maybe if i were high it would be good but it would probably just seem even longer and more plotless.

It had decent music.
I went out right after I saw it the first time and I had to turn the radio in my car off because it sucked by comparison.
