Why did people forget about "The Darkness"?

anyway, It was pretty good game.
although, people seem to have forgotten R.U.S.E :[

R.U.S.E boasts that you have to use deception in order to win the RTS. The only problem is that this is the way all RTS players will play an RTS. If R.U.S.E came out before some of the command an conquer games, or like... three-five years before starcraft 2, I think it could go further. I just used those strategies back in times of warcraft

I kinda see what you are getting at, I agree mostly. It's just a little annoying to me I guess, It coulda been a contender bit bigger than it was.

God, I remember being told to check them out because I'm a Queen fan. GOD did I regret that.

I thought it was really good. Somewhat cinematic, and that had good and bad aspects.

So my roommate got "The Darkness" for $3 over the break and now I am trying it out. Honestly, I can't figure out why this game isn't remembered at all. If I remember the dates correctly, this is the first game Yahtzee did a review on, but no one seems to remember it. It has a pretty immersible game world compared to other games.

I guess the question for discussion is: Have you ever played "The Darkness" or another game you found fun, but that the rest of the world forgot about?

awww. I really thought you were talking about the darkness band...

The game I liked that died out pretty quick was Shadow of rome, I really thought I would find a sequel soon... but, twas not meant to be. The only good news is that my other title, red dead revolver got a great sequel

I loved it the first time I played it. The game has not aged well.

OT: I've never heard of it, that's why. Sounds legit though.

I remember it for having Dwight Schultz as a voice actor. Just found out he was in quite a number of games, so I'll porbably forget this one now.

Honestly I remember it mostly for the Unskippable lampooning. "And that was the first time I died."

+1, I can no longuer think of The Darkness without thinking of the recurring gag about "the number of times I died"

I bet i have played and enjoyed tons of games i cant remember. But occasionally you stumble over one of them and think "hell yeah thats great-REPLAY!"

Yeah I thought of the darkness too.

Lol... sadly that was the best part of the ENTIRE game.

OT: It was a decent game... nothing that I would really go on and on about. It was good for one playthrough and that's pretty much it. I do think it is an excellent candidate for a sequel.
