Most likely because nobody knew the PC was Dovahkiin until that first dragon kill. At the time, he was some random schmuck. Alduin choosing then to attack was just a random stroke of luck/irony.

I always thought Alduin was meant to be trying to kill the Dovahkiin in Helgen, but managed the worst timing possible and ended up accidentally saving their life. A kind of lovely irony.

A sheer unbridled stroke of luck, which ironically seals his doom. Though given the supernatural setting any sort of prophecy, fate or divine intervention could be in place.

Can you please change the title to something which doesn't spoil the story for people.

I wouldn't say i was spoiling the story, this happens within the first 5 minutes of the game plus anyone whos interested in the game most likely already has it or has played it..and to someone who hasnt played it the words "alduin, ulfric stormcloak ect" probably dont mean alot

Your spoiling it for me, it's going to spoil the intro to the game for me, so in future please learn not to put spoilers in the top of the title.
I am yet to play skyrim, as it's too expensive, but plan to get when a special is on. I now know someone saves someone else, so there will be no surprise.

There is no excuse for having a spoiler in the title, it's just plane harsh. You could write something like "Question about skyrim intro" or something like that, or at least write skyrim spoilers in the title, so your not spoiling things for other people.

"who hasnt played it the words "alduin, ulfric stormcloak ect" probably dont mean alot"
That doesn't justify it at all, you wouldn't like it if I went through films you hadn't watch and told you what happened, and just because you wouldn't know who they are wouldn't make it any better.

So again please fix the title, and don't put spoilers in the title.

To be perfectly fair, there really aren't any spoilers in that. It's, quite literally, the very first thing to happen when you launch a new game. Opening sequences don't really count as spoilers, to be perfectly honest. It's roughly analogous to me telling you that the Empire Strikes Back starts on Hoth, possibly as far as saying "Luke gets attacked by a Wampa". It's not really a spoiler if its intended to be known right off the bat.

That said, it would be far more amusing OP to see something like "Why did [REDACTED] save [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] from [REDACTED]?" as the thread title.

Is dumb luck!

Raj know this. Every good thing that happen to him dumb luck!
Making it to skyrim? Dumb luck. Raj lucky he "find" map in travelers pack.
Raj not get caught by guards chasing him for theft? Dumb luck.
Find hidden brothel in middle of forest? Dumb luck. (though, lucky part he leave without disease!)
Getting saved by dragon? Dumb luck.
Marrying Wife Mjoll after drunken night on town to forget dragon attack?

Well.... last one i am not so lucky about. But her cooking is good when she actually let Raj have some!

Ok, her cooking not so good. In fact, i find embalming tools more nutritious. But Raj not tell Mjoll that. She skin him.

No, really. She threaten to skin me if tell how bad her cooking is. She very abusive. If not amazing in bed, Raj would leave her. ((well, never get to sleep in bed, but you get idea!))

What?! it's still a spoiler, it's something that I don't know what going to happen.
I had no idea about Skyrim excluding dragon born was dovakiin, now I know he gets saved early on (It doesn't matter if it's early on it's still spoiling it for anyone who isn't past the intro)
and it's all thanks to someone not being careful, and now seemingly acting a harshly as even after I asked him kindly, he hasn't bothered to change the title.

Hardly a spoiler..
Plus for somebody such as yourself who believes that an intro is a spoiler and that your game is now ruined.. you wont know who or what the stormcloaks are.
Therefore it wont even spoil it for you.
Plus why click the thread?.. the title was a question, in the thread will contain answers.
Answers will be more of a spoiler than the question itself.

I agree with OP. SOMETHING is going to stop you from dying because if you died in the first 5 minutes...well...shitstorms would brew on Bethesda's front door quicker than you can say FOS DU RAH!

And I thought Ulfric used a dragon shout to summon him to help him escape...somehow. Maybe right before they put the gag on him. Now that I type it, that was stupid to think....

Yeah Alduin must be feeling a right nitwit about now!

*cough*

It's the same reason why we see the Harry Potter movies from his perspective. Seeing those movies from the perspective of a random kid in his school that doesn't take any real part in any of the action wouldn't be very entertaining, would it? Maybe it's a bit over the top that "your character" always gets the action, but thats where the entertainment comes from. Then again it could kinda work if you just heard about the dragon attacks at first, but then the intro would have to be difrent...

It's a far way to do it =p.

Maybe he didn't know it was the Dovahkiin and was just trying to spare Ulfric so the people of Skyrim would continue 'to spill their own blood'

It's a spoiler, I know what's going to happen, it's still a spoiler no matter how early. I know the stormcloaks who ever they are will save him. Again shall I start going through characters in different games and telling you how their introduction was important to the story, as from what you claim this wouldn't be spoiling it.
Also I haven't read the answer, my eyes force me to absorb the information from a small sentence, but I am not stupid enough to then read the detailed explanation of who they are.

This does not happen.
Your shock and horror may now be averted.
What you believed to be a spoiler does not happen in the game. Therefore i recommend you leave thread so that nothing else will spoil your experience.
