Why did you join the Escapist?

Just a question on what prompted you to join. i joined because i liked Zero Punctuation and wanted to comment on an episode.

Because of ZP, and I stumbled upon too many forums where I felt compelled to give my opinion.

I generally liked the forums and lurked since late 2007. What finally provoked me to join, however, was a glut of youth-bashing threads around my join date. Of course, from my posts now you probably wouldn't have guessed that.

As for how I knew of this site at all, ZP like most people.

I came for Zero Punctuation, I stayed for the forum regulars, who have a generally lower suck quotient than most of the Internet (then again, I have low standards---I used to be a GameFAQs regular.)

I came for Zero Punctuation, then i fell in love with Unskippable and Rebecca Mayes.
And because I have such a slow laptop i found myself in the forums waiting for them to load,reading what other people said. Eventually i finished all the videos and then joined becuase i wanted to contribute to the forums.

Wow, hate to be a follower, but I discovered the site through zero punctuation, then spent a while following that and Unskippable, and this month decided to join because I was always reading the forums and wanted to comment.

I'd been lurking for ages, it was when Yahtzee posted Michael Atkinson's e-mail address that I decided to join just so I could say I sent him one. Then I noticed the forums actually had a lot of things I wanted to comment on, so here I am.
