LBP. COD. Haze. Halo. CSS. TF2. Borderlands. Pretty much every racing game.

I could go on for a while, but you see my point.
I feel like being a smartass, so: Whoa, hold it. LBP has got romance in it. There's this one guy who proposed with a LBP level. Pretty scary/romantic , huh?
Oh yeah, I heard about that! Probably the weirdest proposal idea ever. But that's UMC, so technically it's not part of the game.

/feels like being a smartass as well.
Damn, I was hoping you wouldn't notice that.
Well then, what about the marriage levels in that skeleton castle like thing? Hahaa! got you now!

Almost every american game has one relationship can any one tell me why? I find it irritating. How many times hav we not seen it? Do you like it? In that case, why?
Not every American game has a love relationship, so much so that your question is misleading. MOST games do not have such a part.

As far as why have one in the first place, I'd say look no further than the fact that you'll constantly have people tell you that family is the most important thing. Gaming longs to be treated as a medium where important and meaningful stories can be told, and at it's core a story is about charcters and they way they interact with one another. Love is an important dynamic in many stories and will play a significant role in the lives of most people in real life. Love, like hate, is a fairly easy emotion to convey in a medium, but when handled incorrectly they become little more than plot cudgels.
