Down with duck face! It doesn't help that half the girls that seem to do this also happen to be orange.

Its really easy to answer but if I used the language I wanted to I would be insta banned for ever and ever so I will just say this. Someone famous did it -probably one of those stu... (and there is the language again...) dumb people from some dumb "reality show" and now all the du... (STOP IT) girls, dumb girls think its cool to do... Personally they (all the self infatuated people) should be abducted and forced into manual labor camps... like on a farm or something... for... about a year, then all this dumbassery would (hopefully) go away, for a little while anyway... either that or we need a war... like a real one, not these little wars that just waste money and give the as... (STOP IT RIGHT NOW) idiots something to rant about... I think America should invade Russia... for... well because we want a new western frontier to conquer and settle that's why...

Some girls are very self concious about how chubby their face looks when natural smiling, since it pushes the cheeks to the side. By doing the 'kissy' face it draws the cheeks in and gives a thinner, pulled in look.

When a woman is ovulating, or ready for mating, her body has subtle changes in shape, smell and color. One thing that happens is our lips become redder and fuller, triggering in a mans mind the need to mate. (One reason why men are so visual) IE: Lipstick and blush mimic the subtle changes that occur during sexual arousal. While we unknowingly do this it all has to do with mating rituals. Don't ask me to sit the source, I read it in some medical journal years ago.

Although, some women take it WAY too far.

They continue to make the duck face because we are no longer subject to the evolutionary pressure necessary to weed them out for being the intellectual equivalent of a tomato.

What I'm saying is that we need more sabertooth tigers roaming about in our modern-day society.
I agree with this. I agree SOOOO much.

It's a pretty generic attempt to appear 'cute' or 'flirty' and 'playful' and HELL NO, I've NEVER done a single damn 'duckface' picture. Outside of this, I've no damn clue.

Also- if I EVER do I want it to be known publicly now that I want my beau to shoot me through my head with a fucking bazooka.

After googling "Duck face" I must say I that I haven't laughed harder at anything else today, and I just watched all the season 1 episodes of Archer. I don't know anyone who would pull that kind of face, nor do I see the point of it, it just makes you look weird.

It's called pouting and I would put it down to vanity and being generally self-involved.

Doesn't piss me off as much as people who have multiple people in their profile picture or where they're stood really far off in the distance. They're kind of missing the point.

this is extremely annoying and should be stopped as soon as possible...
You live in a world where people are free to do what they wish mate, even if it is extremely annoying, no one has the right to stop them forcibly I'm afraid ;)

Yeah I know a few people who do such things... I personally don't understand it myself. Actually, I might try asking some of them! I shall be right back :p

I didn't really know what it was until this thread. I guess I need to get around more. I do agree with most people so far, it makes what would be decent looking girls into ugly "you're not gettin' near this" bitches.

And yeah, she is. About a billion times better than every girl that was pulling the duck face shit.

EDIT: So after a duck face Google search, I find that almost every girl doing it is just an "OK". Barely scratching the surface of a 7.5, maybe an 8 here and there. Definitely not as good-looking as they think they are.
Since when is 8 not super hot? Or do you use the same scale as video game reviewers (7 being average instead of 5)?

Some girl's look a little cute doing it, in a "being silly" sort of way. If they actually wanted to look pretty though, they'd be way better of just smiling.

I do not care what face they make.

Girls are hot.
This man is wise beyond his years.

I detect a large amount of, 'I aint gettin nun so ais pokes fun at em!' Going on in this thread.

Sure it doesn't make them look any more attractive. And sometimes you see a photo where you just gotta laugh. Even if they're in the same room as you.

But it's certainly not the big deal you guys are making it out to be.
Who said it was a big deal? We are just having a lol at a stupid facial expression...

...The hell is a duckface?

Basically, it's a ridiculous facial expression characterised by 'pouting', i.e. pressing the lips together as if offering a kiss. Apparently, it's what passes for attractive.

She looks a lot like Charlize Theron. But yeah, duckfacing needs to go, it looks so stupid.
