Why do I hate glee

I have watched the show twice because my sister is really into it and we have similar tastes, but I hated it with a fiery passion. When she asked me why I hated it I honestly didn't know what I didn't like about it. I said it was gimmicky but that doesn't seem like that's quite it. I was hoping you could give me some of your reasons for hating the show to help me.

So help me out here escapists, why do i hate it?

I hate it because the main gay character is a fucking tool who cries "homophobes" every time he acts like a fucking dick and someone complains. Be gay, mate, but you don't have to put on a lisp or anything else, just fuck guys and shut up! Arrrgh, I hate you so much you stupid fuck!

It could also be that it feels like the show was made to appeal to everyone, as if a souless group of money-lovers found the most talented people they could find for "appealing to everyone", got a competent director and let them go wild.

Because its overhyped. You probably would have liked it more if "Don't Stop Believing" wasn't now synonymous with "Glee" or if those gimmicks weren't getting progressively worse as a means to market to wider television audiences.

You could have probably watched it and thought "meh, its okay", maybe saw a good episode or two and that's it. But because there's this big could of hype floating over it, putting expectations through the roof, only to find the final product to be "meh" is gives way to your irritation.

Just an idea. A friend of mine who used to like Glee says that the show isn't as good as it was when it first start anyway, that the media-hype has made it a monster. So yeah.

I absolutely can not stand it either. I watched the one episode with Neil Patrick Harris, because if he wasn't gay I would be ALL OVER that man, and because my AP calc teacher apparently looked like the teacher guy.
All in all I HATED it. It made me want to burn things. But I really can't stand how they portray schools. Or singing. It makes me hate them for even singing.

Maybe it's because they show everyone being accepted but we know that is malarkey.

Well, I hate it for stealing Darren Criss and severely limiting the chances of a third A Very Potter Musical, but that's kind of a stupid reason.

Then there is the fact that everything is so disgustingly cheerful. Fuck glee.

Generic characters with no growth, insipid cheerfulness, taking genuinely great songs and soullessly ripping them off, take your pick.

It's not a terrible show, but the reason I didn't like it is because I couldn't take the melodrama seriously. I found I could take Ugly Betty seriously because the melodrama all revolved around her dream career, which is a very serious thing. Glee, however, has melodrama around highschool stuff, which I just can't take seriously.
Also, they play far too much Lady GaGa, whom I just can't stand.
Oh, and a friend of mine who was in show choir for years told me that the show doesn't even remotely accurately represent what a glee club is supposed to be like.

I hate them because some neighbor little sister or daughter or something likes to play that thing really out loud...

That and because it is a crappy show... and they actually make a ACDC song sounds bad... They also ruin some Beatles songs... And there's that one comercial that plays 5 in 5 minutes with some kid singing Justin Bieber.

Man, I have a lots of reason to hate them.

They touched songs......... that I've embraced my heart to...... and violated them. And they can never be forgiven, unless forgiveness can be given with a flamethrower. But failing that never.
Just also don't care for teen/whatever the hell it is, mixed with high school musical. I can't yell no loud enough. So we'll just leave this here and never speak of this again.

I thinks it a truly deplorable worthless show. It's so shitty it ought to be considered a crime against man. I cannot fathom why people like it. "I like it for the music". iTunes people! iTunes!
