I have so many ideas in my head that i want to do, mangas to create and cartoons to make, but i cant draw worth diddly, but should i take the years upon years it takes to become good or just use the one talent i have as a writer and let someone else draw it while i write the dialogue/story?

It's pretty common for there to be a writer and an illustrator for comics.

Obviously, being able to draw what you're imagining yourself is preferable, but if you can't draw, you might as well get someone else to.

That's actually pretty common. Comics will be written by one person, drawn by another, and inked by a third. If you want to be a writer, that doesn't mean that you have to be an artist too, unless you're that devoted to having complete creative control. That said, it's an incredibly competitive field. Lots of people want to be comic writers.

It doesnt take years upon years to become a decent drawer, drawing avidly for a full year, and looking up art techniques rather than just winging it can yield surprising results. Just get out there and start with basic stuff obviously. Depth of field, shading, and proportion are all big elements in drawing, so go look up some tutorials on them. However the first thing your going to want to do is go out and get a decent art diary and a few different types of pencils (im not sure whats good for drawing really), if this is to much to ask, then obviously you don't want it bad enough, a good set of pencils and an art diary should cost around $60 - $70 (in Australia), you could find it cheaper if you shopped around but yeah, just general info. Myself being an artist, I have to ask, how old are you and how much professional training do you have? If you're an adult already and you have no training, you're basically wasting your time learning how to draw. People who are professional artists have generally been drawing consistently since a very young age, and generally also get professional training to some degree (I, for example, have about 7 years of professional training). That's not to say that an adult can learn to draw adequately, and there are plenty of resources available to learn, but in order to create a quality cartoon, manga etc., you're going to want a someone with professional training. Visual art is, generally, something you either devote most of your life to, or don't do.

No matter what you choose, refining your craft in one single subject is incredibly hard. To attempt to master two different fields at the same time to merge into one, you will pretty much doom all early works to complete failures. Learning everything you possibly can to craft a great story is probably where you should focus your efforts. Maybe do some concept works to build off of, and then team up with an artist who you believe can bring your artistic vision to life.

If you find yourself enjoying it and want to become better at it then there?s your answer. You?ll have to be patient of course but in the mean time you could also work on your writing skills and become better at both. If you don?t enjoy it all that much and it seems like too much work to you, get someone else to do it and dedicate the all time to your writing.

Just practice and find your style you don't need to be yet another Manga artist who draws the same way the rest of the 2 billion does.

To make you happier of your situation think of this.
I was extremely good at drawing until I got struck by a nerve degerating consition to my right side hand and neck. Now i struggle to keep pen with my hand, I also had to give up Piano, percussion and mallet playing. Be happy that at least you can practice to become better, I can only become worse*. (*According to my doctors)

And usually there are writes, illustrators, editors and proof readers who work on one comic, rarely they do everything alone - even the semi-profession E-comic artist have someone who proof reads to generates material for their comics.

I have the same problem. Over the years I've come up with an ever-expanding storyline but whenever I try and draw it, it just looks like shit. I've even tried drawing lessons but I just don't have the skill required. Its mainly down to a coordination problem with my hands so the best thing to do would be to find someone to draw for you.

That is my problem too. I wish there was a sort of printer that would let you print pictures directly from your head... But my brain is kind of stupid too. So I guess that wouldn't work either.
