Yup, but I haven't really noticed that many multi-disc games of late.meatloaf231 said:Changing disks is about the most immersion-shattering thing you can do.
I think he means console games where you must switch discs at some point because there is too much game content to fit on one disc. (E.G. Me either. I don't mind at all, as long as they do it at a point where it is appropriate.ellimist337 said:I don't think I've ever really heard hate for them, but I'm not really in the loop on a lot of PC gaming, so I don't know. Surpsingly, I think we've got a BINGO here.delta4062 said:For PC games its not so bad but for consoles its just annoying
For a recent example, Lost Odessey had like 4 or 5 disks if I'm right.KaZZaP said:Are there even any multi disk console games out there? I sure haven't seen any.
I once accidentally bought the CD version of Dawn of War instead of the DVD. I felt like some sort of degenerated subterranean cave being who has to hold a vigil watch over the installation progress bar instead of enjoying a sammich like a civilized person.Jumplion said:Surpsingly, I think we've got a BINGO here.delta4062 said:For PC games its not so bad but for consoles its just annoying
With PCs, it's not uncommon to have to install multiple disks for one game. With consoles, you have the luxury to not have to do all that time wasting. The burden to sqeeze the content on one disk should be on the developer, not the consumer to have to carry the burden of being shorthanded by lazy/cheap developers.
Not that I care to much about them, I havn't had any 2 disk games for a while but it would be slightly annoying if I ever got one.
