because apparently breaking up with a girl because she turns out to be waaaaaaaaay to annoying and needy to balance out her other qualities makes one deserving of hate.

because i'm constantly haunted by the past of what could have been and the memories of her face and smile and personality. I love my current gf and have been with her for near 4 years now, but those old memories pop up every now and then and boy do they sting. i try to hate her because that's what allowed me to move on forward in my life. I believe that thats how most blokes cope too unless their ex's were complete and utter wankers. I don't hate her deep down though but like i said, flashbacks are a pain.
Pretty much what was said here. I mean, i love my current girlfriend to death (hell we're currently engaged) but every now and then i'll remember my first love. Are break up was devastating to ssay the least (she got wasted at my bestfriends party and had a threesome with the local man whore of my school and my ex girlfriend all while my bestfriend filmed it. No matter how much i "should" hate her, i don't and can't bring myself to hate her
shit I wouldn't hate her but the guys that took advantage of the fact she was drunk

OT

My last Ex we broke up on a pretty much a bitter note. We've conduced that our relationship would have lasted longer if we didn't date, fool around and just stayed friends. She said that we shouldn't deal with each other anymore since it'll end up with us getting hurt or her getting pregnant. I agreed since we were basically using each other for pity sex. We fucked one last time, we wish each other well and we haven't communicated in 3 years since then. I couldn't hate her in fact I think we loved each other so much to ruin our lives for sexual gravitation would have made us hate each other.

Well the reason why i should hate her is because she would have never told me and i had to hear about it from the man whore who insisted on coming up to me and bragging about how tight she was (we we're both virgins who wanted to be each other's first's)

Sometimes one's ex is somebody who has truly fucked them over.
I probably should hate my most recent ex. Instead I have no positive or negative feelings left towards her.

Its because of the visceral pain that lead to some breakups.

However, I'm different.
I'm perfectly willing to hate your 'ex' too.

I don't hate my ex: I just wish she would stop texting me when I'm with my new girlfriend . I'm frolicking along in a happy montage and then "Blip bloop I'm so alone"

Also abuse is another reason why hatred can come about, I had a girlfriend once who physically beat me (Shut-up she was strong and I can't intentionally harm or fight back against anyone).
If you did fight back, you'd be called a monster 'cuz Double Standards are retarded.

OT:Sometimes, shit just happens and they can't stand each other after that.
That is true, although I wish I could have atleast got the police to understand that she was abusive and that I wanted to press charges, she got off scott free because she simply claimed it was self-defense. Yeah, self-defense when you have NO injuries and the guy who was "beating you" is bleeding on the rug

Most relationships either break up over something very bad (like cheating) or hang on too long and they slowly grow to resent each other.

Either way, they part in bitterness and having broken up, there is really no way to clean up the feelings.
yeah this is true, usually when a relationship ends it comes to a crashing halt pretty fast and generally if it's reached past a point it's hard to turn back and mend things up.

about 90% of my ex's I am good friends with or have mended enough that we are "friends", but there are a few, including my last girlfriend, who ended up taking a chance for the worse and it was something we highly disagreed on and seeing as we were both stubborn as hell, shit hit the fan and we've never talked since.

granted i don't HATE her, i do wish things had gone differently, it's just hard to sometimes give in when you think/know your right.

I don't hate any of my exs ... not a single one of the total none. :p

OT: Your question has been in answered in a bunch of different ways, so anything I write would be pointless.

well basically everyone either of you knew probably heard about it and it was really embarrassing to have that happen, especially behind your back AND have it be video taped, that's awful, especially when they all knew you guys were dating, fucking prick, I'm not a violent person at all but like I said if put in that situation I might have upper-cutted the shit out of him the first time I saw him.

I hate mine because she betrayed me in what I consider to the worst way possible (not cheating). I hate her for what she did to me. I hate her over zealous religiousness. I hate the very fact she lives in the same city. I hate the fact that I ever cared about her. I hate her for how she did it. I hate her family for what they made her.

Never in my entire life have I ever truly hated someone until her. I've done a lot of thinking about it to figure out why. It comes about because you put so much trust and faith into them and they throw it back in your face. Notice it is hardly ever the person who did the breaking that harbors the anger (except in the case of someone leaving an abusive other). You trust them, you love them, you would die for them and they take that and laugh at you for being weak enough to succumb to it.

That is why the hate comes. It's not rational and it's not a good thing, but it is human nature and until you've been through something like it, there is no real way to explain it.

well, long story short, i did and got suspended for two weeks haha....but when i came back, it was still getting spread around the school and believe it or not even the teachers we're talking about it. It got so bad, i had to transfer schools, go into therapy, and now i'm so whacked out on so many types of medicine it's not even funny
