Why do so many people hate Naruto?

Ok, I've been noticing lately that people are bringing up Naruto alot. What exactly is the big deal? "Naruto has OVER 100 EPISODES OF FILLER!" Yes, I may be a fan of Naruto, but I HATE filler, but you could skip that. The Naruto website uploads a few episodes every week. Or better yet read the manga online on youtube. " Believe it, nuff said." Yes that was the most annoying thing ever, but I can't remember a time he last said it. Since he met Tsunade? That was four years ago. Voice your opinion here and I will try to answer your complaints. Thank you.

People hate it because it's popular and because it's been bastardized by the dub (Probably more the latter than the former.)

It actually used to be good before the filler season, but during and after that it just got steadily worse and incredibly boring. I just stopped watching after he started training with frogs. Again. I lost all interest by then.

Because there's MUCH better anime out there that people could be watching? Because Narutards exemplify every negative stereotype about fans of Japanese culture not from Japan? How about because yes, the show is all filler...and thus refers back to stereotypes previously referenced?

I'm not sure why it's so hated either. It doesnt even have as much filler as a lot of people think. At least half of what some people call "filler" in naruto is just episodes where they focused on the plot instead of having a great big ninja fight. Maybe they just don't like the character naruto? idk.

I like it, but hated the filler. sadly I believe it's the only anime I watch...If I can't include Megas ^_^

For me it was because the characters didn't act or look like ninjas. Now I bet things might of changed later on but I still have no interest in it.

It started out good, but it became less about Ninjas (When did they lest do an actual mission that didn't amount to a big powerful battle?) and more like Dragonball Z.

I'd just watch Dragonball Z if I wanted that thanks.

I believe the better question is why does everyone hate one piece? Which in my opinion is one of the best ongoing series definetly better than naruto and bleach. I blame 4kids

Wasted potential. In the beginning, it actually seemed to be about Ninja; their stories, their growth, their training, their clans, and other things that made it a little unique. It then slowly morphed into random magic people holding kunai. For instance, the dramatic climax of the first season? Two gigantic monsters battling and the spirit of death ripping someone's heart out. Not exactly what I wanted to watch.

I don't think it's so much that people hate Naruto for being Naruto, they hate it more for having a spawned a generation of mindless ninja obsessed kids.

Personally, I tend to just read the manga for long running series such as Naruto/Bleach/One Piece, etc., as they tend to focus more on the characters themselves than on seeing how many fireballs they can fit into a single fight sequence.

Ot yes I agree with a lot of people that the anime sucks but atleast the manga is getting good again.

idk why one piece is so popular. A lot of people put it in thier top 5 anime, I thought it was above average at best, rather forgettable and blah. thats just me though. part of it may be the main characters name.
