I really miss the variety of skills,
it really made morowind stand apart from other games, where everyones final character looked the same with the invincible god armor and god sword, in morowind it always turned out differently, my first character had full ordinator with curaiss of the savior's hide and a daedric tower shield that summoned a hunger to be my constant pet, and I personally forged my sword (godcleaver) myself. also the varied combat skills gave a cooler feel to the combat (bring back spears!!) and made sense, why would a thief in oblivion be able to deftly wield a claymore after leveling up with daggers? Furthermore why would he swing a dagger like it was a baseball bat? infact, why are blade and blunt seperate at all? all you do is swing them wildly until either you or your opponent falls over, I miss jumping into a group of guards in morowind and gleefully hacking and stabbing
*inhale*
*exhale*
also I liked the limits that morowind had, in that there were very few. By the end of the game my character had a constant levitate enchantment with movment sped up, a mystical shield, turned into a werewolf at will, and could cast magical fireballs whose aoe encompassed small towns, in essence I became a god, and it all happened gradually, legally over time and was extremely satisfying. and further more I'm running out of air.
*collapses*
