Avid football fan (the european/south american kind), it has always slighlty annoyed me that americans use the word soccer to describe football (I know other countries like Australia do use this term) when the vast majority of the world know and call the game football and american football having more similarities with Rugby than footbal. However it doesn't really matter because American Football is not very popular over here in the UK so there is never really any confusion over which one is being talked about in conversation. Plus it gives us English an excuse to have playful jibs at those silly Americans playing rugby with armour on and calling it football : )

My main problem with American Football is that it is not fun to watch (to be fair it was quite fun to play when my dad used to take me to the park to play catch with an american football). I know the rules and that so I can follow whats going on the pitch but for me its just one team makes a play it ends, then they talk for what seems like an age on hte next play. It's all just stop start with no real flow to it. And thats not even mention the spectles of the half time shows and commericials that stick to this sport like barnicles, it seems that the sport oraganises are worried that the fans will loss interest unless they show them something big, loud and shiny. Now Basketball that is really good American sport that I wish had more popularity in the UK

Also, it should be United States Handegg, not American Handegg.
or just American Handegg, considering we are the only country with "America" in its name. derp
What happens when America liberates part of the Swiss town of Handegg then? Yeah, didn't think of that, did you?
then there would be no difference
