Why do we sit in front of our computers and comment on threads that so often have no relevance to us or even interest us in the slightest?

And why choose this forum?

The only reason for the first question I could come up with is that people like to have an opinion on everything they come across, but there must be more to it than that, right?

Because we have trouble sleeping, and this happened to be in the latest thread column.

it's slightly more interesting than smacking my head against a wall and it's cheaper than a proper hobby.

I have to disagree with you there, people always do something for a reason, but maybe not for discussion as you have so kindly illustrated.

Do you entertain yourself from the forums or from your rather captivating avatar?

Obviously people do things for a reason, but that reason does not have to be guided by any sense of logic, emotions play an important role in the decision making process too.

Well, I found out a while ago that I actually enjoy this site.
The community is entertaining, and I'm also a bit addicted.
And I have a bit too much free time.

Plus the whole "soul" thing

I find it quite entertaining, even more than gaming at times.

It's like reading a book, only that nothing's really connected, and there are hundreds of authors. It's like a really entertaining, funny, interesting and occasionaly educational book for people with ADD.

To that, I ask; why do you read books?

Yeh I think you might have found it there. Sounds quite poetic in a way as well.
