Simple question, that can only be responded to purely I would like to see what you guys reply with. I personally get up in the morning to see if a better day will arise. It hasn't but i will awake every morning to find out if it comes. What about you?
I don't actually get up in the morning, it's really more mid-afternoon.

But to answer in the spirit of the question; habit.
I really do have precious little to look forward to in my life. I do feel like there's something massive I've missed out on, or is going on around me or just out of reach, or for the want of a nail... but I'll be damned if I can work out what it is.

because, laying around in bed all day is boring. I love my sleep, but once I'm done with it, I tend to get up.

Also, breakfast. Food! Glorious Food!

I DON'T!

I get up in the afternoon. And work night-shift.
This. So very this.

Also. As cliched, silly, and sappy as it sounds...

Because I slept for nearly 14 hours, and my parents are getting mad that i am not doing something productive.
Same reason and also the same as ur avatar. I can't smoke while sleeping. Oh and to finish Just Cause 2.

On Saturday, cuz I have work at 8.
On Wednesday, to have lunch because I have to work at 1.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday...
I barely get up in the "morning" and then only because of phone calls, other disturbances, because the light is too bright or because I can't possibly sleep any longer.

It makes me sad that I don't have something that regularly has me wake up in the morning looking forward to a new day.
Then make something to look forward to :)
This made me smile.

I know I should. I know I can... or at least I should be able to. I just constantly find myself inflicted with severe bouts of apathy. Sometimes I can fight through it and have a period where I do look forward to things. Other times its too hard and all I can think of is that its another day of work with no advancement towards my goals, assuming I have any at the time (I tend to be very conflicted regarding what I should do with my life, which doesn't help matters).
Perhaps your goal isn't in doing one thing in particular but rather understanding what you want to do,i know how you feel i think we all do :p

I keep asking myself why I bother to get up in the morning with more and more frequency. While things might get better, I'm afraid I don't have any real good reasons other than some old song lyrics: "Life goes on, well after the thrill of living is gone".
I know that song its on the edge of my mind just out of reach, OT though it is very easy to doubt ones self because being negative is much easier than being positive unless you get up really early then you have real reason to question yourself.

I get up in the morning because I need to go to the bathroom. All that life stuff comes second to my bladder.
Ahem in to that.

Weekdays: I wake up because I've got school. I get £30 a week if I'm at school every day on time for that week. So that's my reason to get up on those days.

Weekends & Summer: I get up because I generally have plans to go out. Or my mum just moans at me until I get up.

Because lying in bed for too long causes bedsores and bedsores hurt, therefore I avoid them by getting out of my bed when I wake up.

I get up because I know that I can talk to my crush. Corny, but she's the only thing that keeps me going.
