Why do you like the escapist?

What brought you here and what keeps you coming back?

I started coming cause of zero punctuation (shocking I know) and stayed for extra credit. Also the community for the most part is why I stick around.

Almost everyone will have come for Zero Punctuation.

I stay because of some people here, and because I (try to) help the site improve.

And I've been told that some people like my film reviews.

I came for ZP, and I stayed cause the community was rather interesting. I can't remember why I left at one point, but now I've returned to a bunch of ponies and people who hate said ponies. I'll admit, it was really confusing at first...

I like the open-mindedness, the lack of trolls and the strictness of the moderation. I'm usually too afraid to post in forums because I think I'll be ridiculed to death by memes and whatnot.

ZP, then read articles... some where good.

I found articled to be getting better. Reviews aren't just people giving out numbers, but instead describing their own experiences.

Here games are more than just a small diversion.

This is serious business!

I actually didn't come for ZP. The first I heard of this site was De-Rez (long gone at this point) doing a RE spoof. I stayed since this is one of the more civil forums I've been a part of.

I like the people here their nice and funny. The videos are funny and well written. The almighty Escapist Wizards who post the news is usually right on time.

These days? Not much. The topics are unoriginal, the people aren't NEARLY as intelligent as this place's reputation would have most believe, and even the quality of many of the video series has begun decline of late.

Plus, the ads for us yanks are just SHAMELESS.
