PS3

- Free internet
- All the games I actually want to play are on the same console
- I prefer the controller (though I've been using the same design for 13 years now)
- Massive internal hardrive
- It plays Wipeout and God of War (I know strictly speaking that falls under point 2, but both of these games are so huge and great that they deserved their own point)

I've never really been a fanboy to be honest. Although I sort of don't own a PS3.
So here's why I love...or like each console (I only like the wii...not love it)

Xbox 360: All of my mates have it, it has good multiplayer, it's cheaper than PS3 even though it costs for live.

PS3: It has pretty bad multiplayer, yet pays up for that with AMAZING exclusives. Compared to the Xbox360, the graphics aren't very different unless you count exclusives like uncharted 2
and heavy rain. It costs more yet has free internet.

WII: It's great for partys on wii sports+wii sports restort...bad for shovelware

PSP: It's cheap, got cheap games, and easy to bring around with you...unlike DS which is a pain in the arse when you lose the fucking stylus!

DS: It's cheap, got alright games, yet it's a pain in the arse when you lose the fucking stylus :p

PC: I love it because of steam and all the great exclusives which have mods...well...mainly garry's mod, and it has internet.

I love my xbox 360 not because it has a decent selection of titles, and enough juice to do the whole multimedia thing, but because it has a finite existence. It's kind of like having a dear friend with terminal cancer. You know that it's going to end badly, but you still have as much fun as you can with each other until their time runs out. Even when the dreaded red ring appears, you feel as if you had a good run with each other and it loved you as much as you love it.

To grab the extra points, I love my Wii for its eternal pluck. It wants so badly to be a next gen console, but it doesn't have the genetic structure to pull it off. It's like Rudy... only it will never, ever, EVER blitz the line and tackle the quarterback, but it will always try.

I love my 360 because it was cheaper than the PS3 when I got it, and allows me to engage in my massive Halo and Mass Effect fanboy-ism! Also, the controller is comfortable in my hands

Whilst I don't own one, I like the PS3's blu-ray support, and many of the exclusive titles look amazing! Also, the ease of adding a new hard-drive seems like a good idea.

The wii, which I also don't own, is made by Nintendo, and hence has Mario, Kirby and Samus on offer.

The PC, whilst not a console, is massively versatile, and constantly upgradeable, so never obsolete.

Ooh, my DS! I love it for providing portable fun, pokémon, and a reason not to talk to strange people on trains...

I love my PS2 because it's the first 'modern' console I ever got

I love my Dreamcast because it's the first console I can really call mine, since I saved up to buy it, and I wanted it pretty much since it's announcement (yeah, the saturn did left a pretty big impression on me)

I love my PC because it's better and cheaper than a PS3 or 360 ^-^

and I love my Gameboy Advance because I can play it anywhere

I liked my 360 because I liked the games, but after 4 systems in 5 years I am offically done with the thing because it's broken it's finally stopped working. I think I'm just going to focus on my Dreamcast and retro gaming collection.

I see this quickly becoming a fanboy war, but what the heck.

I own both an xbox and a ps3, and I love the ps3 the most simply because I really can't help being against the idea of paying the hardware manufacturer a set fee to unlock the complete set of features of any given game, which I have to do on Xbox.

I love the ps3 for the bluray support, the wifi possibilities(xbox DOES have that now, but it's way too little, way too late, and ADDITIONALY microsoft BRAGGED like crazy about this feature, basically telling their customers how PRIVILEGED they were to recieve something the ps3 has had from launch), the smarter, more robust and more long lasting hardware design, which will definitely outlast the 360 by several years, it's low failure rates(at least the phat, I know the slim ps3 fails more, but fuck that, I have phat and love that big black beast), and actually, strangely enough I love the trophies, because it's a slightly more loose reward system that offers the devs slightly more freedom.

Xbox is still good, and MINE hasn't died yet, but they do need to stop thinking they're actually BETTER than Sony.

@ Nom Pretentieux

Exactly what im testing for, I just think the console war thing is incredibly stupid, But conversation seems pretty civil so far so my faith in humanity has been restored a bit.

It's just been good to me. And my girlfriend's on Live pretty often, so we can play together on there more than on any other system.

I love my PS3. I love the controls, I love the exclusives, I love the way it looks and I have a hell of a lot of fun with it. It also helps that I have always loved the Playstation consoles and I still have my PS2 permenantly set up :)

The Wii is fun when you have a lot of friends/family over. "Super Mario brothers" is a blast when there are four of you playing.

The 360 has great exclusives as well, and the controls are comfortable as well.

Umm?

I don't love my console, a console is a tool not a real person.

The day it develops feelings and tells me he/she needs to take a break from Fallout:NV because the game is burning out its PCU is the day I'll start treating it differently.

-_-

This is my system. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My system is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my system is useless. Without my system, I am useless. I must play my system true. I must play straighter than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must play him before he plays me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my system and myself are defenders of my allegiance, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.
That was beautiful...damn.

My Wii: Oh, you mean the console for which I have like five or six Zelda games? And if I want quick fun, I can pop in a Mario Galaxy. AND I just got Okami, and the hype has not failed me.

My Xbox 360: How many times have I played both Mass Effects combined? 15? Around that. The only other games I play this much are...Zelda. Those are the principal reasons I love it.

My Macbook Pro (don't hate on me, I didn't buy it for gaming after all. I don't think any other laptop could survive my clumsiness): World of Goo, Team Fortress 2.

And though I don't have it: PS3 fans, you have an astounding lineup and I will hopefully be joining you by the end of the year. I'm afraid of what's going to happen to my life once I have Demons' Souls.

PC people: Mods sound awesome. I have to admit I'm a little jealous that in my five Oblivion playthroughs, they've all been vanilla. I still love the game, but hey you have me beat here.

I think I got everyone in. Other than handhelds. You're cool too.

Interesting point of view. The real question is, would you miss it?
Well if I ever get delusional enough to where my consoles start to embody a face or a persona I guess I then could.

But then the question would be, would I be missing my delusion or the console? And how could I miss such a thing sine a delusion is still just another part of me, and I can simply transfer it into something else.
