I play tons of stuff ;D

- Open World because i love exploring.
- RPG's because i love seeing my character develop.
- Puzzle games are relaxing and rewarding.
- Racing and Rhythm because they get my adrenaline going.
- Multiplayer for socializing, I prefer co-op or anything with teamwork.
- Platformers, they vary too much but the main reason is exploration.
- Strategy is good for planning and risk/reward. Prefer turn-based, i need to plan things at my own pace.

I don't have a strict favourite genre, it depends on the game! I have a special love for platformers though, a lot of nostalgia there :3

Hmm I like racing games although the last good one I played is Dirt 2. But I do like 'em.

I like RPGs but I've been a bit disappointed with them lately. FFXIII was a big let down, and on the western side of things, I finally got the orginial Mass Effect and so far it's a bit ho-hum. We'll see if it picks up. The Witcher I thought was alright. Fallout 3 is a favorite all time tho.

I like FPS games. I enjoyed plenty of MW2 and BC2. I also have been having fun with Mirror's Edge, Metro 2033 (love!), Penumbra, Cryostasis...

I think my least favorite games are action games IE: God of War 3 was ok but I just didn't find it that compelling. On the other hand Batman AA was a lot of fun.

Oh and strategy games... I loved them when I was younger. SC and Homeworld were favorites. I'm really looking forward to SC2 now.

I like sand box games for the freedom.
I also like online shooters, because I can make 12 year olds get pissed off.

I play RPG's to immerse myself and have fun. I play everything else just to pass time.

I play pretty much everything besides sports games that aren't NBA Jam, Mutant League or Deathrow and JRPGs and I play them because real life is scary.

I like FPS's because I like killing things and it's easier to see the gun model and muzzle flash then in TPS's. I like ARPGs because I like influencing a character's growth, and killing stuff. I like Hack and Slashers because I love the feeling of large battles, and killing stuff.

I play a little of everything and it's not the game-type that is the important thing, not the graphics either, what I am looking for in a game is game-play, if game-play is good then the game usually is good according to me. The story can't be too fucked up either, unless it's meant to be.

I love a multitude of games. Sandboxes with so much to explore, FPSs with awesome weapons, RPGs with epic customisation.

But it's the games that bring something unique to their genre that really draw me in.

Mix-and-match, really.
Right now I'm playing Oblivion because it's a very decent rpg that lets me bash in skulls with a giant warhammer, set things on fire and shove a very sharp piece of steel up someone's nose. Yes, I've had a pretty bad day, why do you ask?
Also, I just finished assassin's creed, and I loved it, open-world action where the combat didn't suck and the sneaky-runny-jumpy-climby was awesome. I'm impressed, especially since I love open-world games and especially those where you can dick around on rooftops.
Mass effect 1 and 2 I've played through time and time again since they're damn good rpg's and otherwise good games, more than competent shooters.
Halo 3, because I love the multiplayer and it's really not a bad game in single-player either, plus I like that they drop all pretensions of realism.
Dead or Alive 4 I bought to see if I still kicked ass. That, and it's not a bad fighter.

Thus is my 360 catalogue summed up, minus Bioshock, which I just could not get into.

Why I play these games? A variety of reasons, relaxation and a feeling of accomplishment among them.

I play mostly everything except for street racing and rhythm games. I do play Audiosurf though, although that's the only rhythm game I play.

I'm fairly open, so I don't try and discriminate when it comes to genres of games. I give everything I can a fair chance.

I'll even try a street racer if someone tells me it's really fun. I just haven't found one I liked yet.

As for what I'm playing right now, MLB 10 is the main one, although I'm going to have to play some PS2 games for the next week, as I'm staying away from home, and there isn't an HD TV there. :/

CoD4 - Fast paced and actually very good.
Mortal Kombat - Always been a fan, think it's the best fighting game ever (opinion)
L4D2, TF2 & WoW - I play with friends, and they're fun.

Used to be a huge FPS guy...but then after moving to Guam got into WoW. Game is on an easy enough learning curve and entertaining...but the whole reason I started playing it was the same reason I played the damn thing for like 3 years! It was the social aspect of the game...most of the guys I played with I either worked with or had worked with in the past so it was a good way for us to bullshit over vent while we slayed dragons and humped murlocs. Half the time we would get drunk and run around orgrimmar in white dresses. I mean don't get me wrong...I have a social life outside the game and we would all get together once a month and hit the bars/strip clubs or BBQ but when we aren't doing that you can bet we were all online in the world of Warcraft. I've actually met a handful of people that I became good friends with over the game. A few of them have come to visit me a few times so that was cool.
