Why do you post on the escapist?

So, why do you do it?

I started posting here a few months ago, when working on the most boring summer job ever, writing health and safety reports. Since then this forum has become that site I check every time I'm bored or procrastinating.

EDIT: A friend recommended it to me, I liked the industry news, reviews, films and beacuse in the main the folk on the forum are a well informed group of adults engaging in decent gaming discussion!

Because while watching Yahtzee's videos, noticing those threads off to the side of the page and not being able to comment was driving me bonkers. By the "social shapeshifter" thread, I'd finally had enough, so I registered an account.

I stick around and post because it's interesting.

Its just nice to have some good discussion. There is a certain amount of maturity on this forum, and I like the number of nationalities here. It gives a different perspective.

Same here. I normally would never take the time to post on any website's forums. But The Escapist seems to have a fairly hospitable and good quality forum so how could I not post.

That's my reason, and I do it in my AP Comp Sci class pretty often because I always finish my work early. I've done nothing but play games, go on forums, and sleep the past 3 weeks in Comp Sci, and I still have a 100%.
