There was always something satisfying about destroying other peoples sand castles... I don't know why this is but it's just the way it is.

Or smashing up your lego creation to put it back in the box.
screw you. I worked hard on that castle... What is wrong with you?
You know what... I'm not even sorry.
all the more reason to look down upon you.
Look up at me from the ruins of your castle more like.
it's a sand castle. I'm not inside it. I hate it when people do that though, it's a completely unprovoked attack on someone else, for no reason other than to make themselves feel good or superior.
Nawh the superiority is nice.
I don't understand why you need to feel superior at all.

It's more the beauty of anihilation.

Beat me to it, love that song.

I must agree, the magnificent end to anything just brings a feeling of elation. To me anyway.

Cause the weight of the modern world is pulling me down.
Then take out your troubles on "The Modern World", not me. I'm no more responsible for the modern world than you are.

Destruction makes room for more new creation. Its the pure power of chaos, innovation and creativity combined.

Now if that isnt cool/beautiful then I don't know what is.
Assuming he measured accurately, and a 25x25x25 cude of TNT does equate to 15 kilotons, that means a kiloton of explosives would roughly equate to around 1040 blocks of TNT, meaning that it would take approximately 104 million blocks of TNT to equate the total potential yield of the Tsar Bomb.

If you'll excuse me, there is work to be done.

there are 2, and only 2 things that are universally enjoyable to ALL humans, across all age groups, all races, all cultures, all genders and all personalities.

sex, and violence.

"There is a creativity in destruction, of course it is easier to destroy than create, but when a juvenile delinquint throws a rock through a window or something, it actually changes the energy of it, this is physics mind you, it changes from this bit of glass to this pile of rubble. That's why in the film Independence Day, they sold it on blowing up the White House and we like to see things EXPLODE! So we all go, and it was a crap film. [sic]" - Eddie Izzard

"As humans don't have claws, horns, swiftness or other natural defenses, their defining physical charactaristic is that they alter the world around them to suit their needs." - Endocrom

Because it's like punching someone you dislike, knowing they can't punch you back, because they are a game.

For me, it's all about chaos, which is why I watch and rewatch the Daily Drop. There's something very beautiful about watching something ordered turn into chaos. And even more in the knowledge that although it appears chaotic, it's actually perfectly ordered and being governed by natural laws. I feel that on some level it mirrors life, being occasionally ordered and occasionally chaotic.

Or maybe I'm chatting meaningless rubbish and this is all irrelevant? <3

Simply 'cause we're human... I've recently seen the Hellsing OVA's (again >,,,,<
Hacking zombies in pieces in L4D with an axe comes close to feeling extatic too ... a monstrous feeling yet so delicious ...
I hate meaningless cruelty ... but when I see it I have an urge to go kill something or more in particular someone ... ironic and disturbing isn't it ...^,,^

To quote the arena announcer from ONE of the Ratchet and Clank games...
"I think explosions are pretty"
No truer truth has ever been said.
