Why does everybody here love TF2?

Well, last time I checked, TF2 didn't HAVE a storyline. As for the genre, I like going around shooting people. If there are no people to shoot, kind of takes away the whole point of the game. Also, bots help for many things like A) Practices, B) Offline play for say, if your internet connection cuts out or something or C) The game is fun, but the people who play it aren't.Xzi said:

I run a TF2 community and I've found the craziest people playing but also they are my online family. I met my boyfriend because of the game. Been playing since it came out and it never gets old. Plus who could say no to free updates for the pc version.
My computer can't handle it, but I love the game, despite never really playing it. I devour all the flavor material Valve puts out.
Sorry about that, I know that a lot of people have trouble playing it. Maybe with the Engineer update they will have the texan fix up the system for better optimization.UltimatheChosen said:

Hell, I don't play it and I still like it. Tried the crappy port on my buddies Ps3 (he bought the orange box for Portal, nothing else). But I don't want to get it for the 360, so I'm gonna try and earn enough money to upgrade my computer and buy it for the PC.
For me, although I didn't realise it, until I went thru the commentaries, its the clever design (we wanted to make sure that like true icons like mickey mouse, you could recognise a class by its silhouette alone, making identifying an enemy pyro for instance far easier than if he was another guy in camo running about).
Secondly, the fact that, at least on newbie servers (because I'm awful at FPS games), the community is amazingly good, I so rarely get told that I suck, or that someone's going to rape my mother because I shot them, or that I'm a dirty n*****, or an english fag. (btw, I'm not black, and I do sound english, but for the idiots on some shooters, mere facts don't stop them using their 'random retarded insult generator' every five seconds.) Hell, it's the only shooter where I've had compliments from other players for good team play, despite dying far more than I actually get kills.
I wonder if it's partly the good humour inherent in the game that somehow cools people down and reminds them its only a game and not actually war, and doesn't require anger and hate to win.

They'll also work on other game modes (involving Control Points; no ctf or pl) if you enter "sv_cheats 1" in the console, then "nav_generate," wait a minute or two, then exit and load the map again. Go more places with botsSoviet Heavy said:
