Wow, MCR did desolation row? Where's my shotgun?

Credit to the movie that my attention must have been elsewhere during that crime...
It plays over the closing credits. The best thing about it was the movie was over so I could race out of the theatre before I heard too much.

I think it may appeal more to the people who haven't read the comic (like me). I think what I most loved about the movie was that it painted the role of being a superhero in a much more relatable way. Despite most movies having a black and white side this movie allowed us to explore that nobody is ever totally good, whether or not their occupation inherently suggests good. Also, that even in the face of a necessary evil for long term good, there will always be a person who puts truth above everything else. Rorschach especially shined because he was on our side, the side of non-special human beings who would normally be powerless in the face of people like Manhattan, but when his journal was published we were essentially given more power than any hero.

I liked the movie, but as everyone else has already stated, the comic is amazing while the movie kind of misses the point at times. Probably my favorite book, but I haven't read that many. I'd say my favorite thing about the movie was the soundtrack (Yes, even My Chemical Romance's Desolation Row...). My brother who never read the book seemed to love the movie despite it's length (I can't seem to get him to watch or read anything to long, well I can't get him to read anything).

I've only seen the Theatrical Cut though. Saw it theaters, the only R rated movie I've ever seen in a theater that's how nerdy I am, lol, and I grabed the single disc for about $7. I want the Ultimate Cut (Since it has the newspaper stand parts which I loved in the comic and missed in the movie), but it's too pricy, and I don't want to spend that much on a DVD of one movie.
