Good GOD the Jetski parts were bad. Just finished Uncharted 2... Gameplay is a bit better and there are some kinda fun bits but I just can't like it. From the beginning it just shows how ridiculous the characters are... Some girl Drake just met can somehow survive a pirate attack and shoot a bunch of dudes, then they just have casual flirty conversation afterwards? They just killed a bunch of people! I feel like there should be some sort of thing to explain how they can just kill a bunch of dudes and not really give two shits.
Drake is kind of like the sort of guy who'd be working for the villains on Indiana Jones. He just searches for treasure and kills anyone who gets in his way all for his own personal gain. Seems kinda funny that in Uncharted 2 after the train incident he's like "yea, I'm done" which is the only smart move he's made for the whole game, but then when he gets presented with some motivation (the first time he's had a legitimate motivation all game) he's still like "nah" until he gets taken on a trek so that he can see for himself that there are some mystical supernatural things going on... Even though in the first game he witnessed a bunch of it firsthand!
Then when he returns and the village of people who saved him is getting shot up by mercenaries, he still thinks he's the big fuckin hero even though it's his won damn fault that a bunch of innocent people died. Even when he learns that the dagger is the key to unlocking something evil that Lazarevic wants to get his hands on, he takes the dagger and goes right on in... He could have just like... Thrown the dagger off the cliff with the train
