hurt by johnny cash. try to tell me with a straight face that the NIN version is better (and yes i know NIN did it first).
Totally straight faced. NIN did it better.

And I HATE NIN.
And I LOVE Johnny Cash.

Oh my God... both of those were amazing...
Although I still think of everything sounds better in 8-bit, or when it's sung by awesomely cute Japanese girls, either way.

I beg to differ with your premise: I think the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt is better than the Nine Inch Nails original.

Also, Metallica's S&M album is great blending of sounds from various genres, so I think it's not really a matter of one being better than the other.

What would Bohemian Rhapsody count as?

I applaud your efforts, though.

Well I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been to the odd all-nighter...nothing like wandering home lost, cold and confused in the light of the morning sun.
god I hate the day after one of them. Hell really does descend on you!

Still waiting for someone to beat MIA...
God yes it does... we call it being special needs hehehe

MIA doesn't seem that amazing to me, in fact sounds a lot like most popular music... But I'm a dirty bassline junkie :D

There you go again, giving metal fans a crappy reputation. I love metal, a lot, but I also love other genres of music. Different music styles have their places, metal is not everything.

Indeed. As much as I love metal, some things are just meant to be played in an orchestra.

You do know Christopher Lee put together his own Symphonic Metal rock opera concept album about the life and times of Charlemagne, right?

It's rather entertaining.
