I'm sure this question has been asked 100 times, but google nor other sources refuse to answer this for me. So escapists, speculate if you please why does Myrrah from Gears of War have human attributes when the other female locust, Berserkers, clearly don't resemble humans at all.

My opinion is that it has no other reason aside from being given a face from developers that further punches in their point that the locust resemble humans and deserve to live as well.

well the answer to this is forever lost.

We can only assume
that like the giant spiders (yeah giant cobwebs clearly were there for no reason at all) they were cut.

*shrugs*
I thought that was stuff from the Scarapede, or whatever. Lightning bug.

I was always under the impresion the locus where the results of human experimentation from that lab from the second game you even find a log about them going underground so maybe thats why other than that no clue

I seem to remember in Gears 2 there is a section in a lab full of squires or sires, can't remember the exact name, but it looks like experiments were done with humans and locust, which I thought meant they came from humans, although it is said that Myrrah was speaking only to Adam Fenix 20 years before Gears 3 so it may not be the result of genetic experiments, although Adam's name could be a biblical reference to the progenitor of the species.

I'm wagering she was human, or at least partially human.

Why?
Look at what that weapon did to Adam Fenix, and look at what it did to the rest of the grubs. If she were pure Locust, she wouldn't have had to have been stabbed; she would've died by then, especially being so close to the damn thing as it went off.

Pretty much that I think. The Sires were the progenitors to the Locust Drones and were a bio-weapon of sorts. I think Myrrah worked at one stage with Adam Fenix, but that may be conjecture.

I think she was the link between the Sires in Gears 2 and the Locust.
Maybe she was a test subject who didn't go crazy and mutate, but did a whole Sarah Kerrigan and take control of the swarm?

Also, the Locust are in no way bad guys in the game. They didn't attack the humans for centuries, despite being aware of their presence on the surface. The humans were busy killing themselves in the Pendulum Wars, and it was only after they started mining Immulsion at huge rates and damaging the Locust's homes underground that they got fed up and decided to kick them off the planet.

Yes, some of the things that the locust do are immoral (see Berserker creation), but that is not an excuse to be seen as evil, that's just the way their culture works. Because it is different than humans, that is seen to be evil? The humans killed more of their own than the Locust ever did.

Sssshhh! You're pointing out one of the MANY plot holes that the game failed to answer. This bothered me to no end with all the reviews. "The final game brings the story of Delta squad and the Gears current storyline to a nice close." Bull crap. That ending raised more questions than it answered.
Oh, and let's not forget that we still have NO IDEA what Sires had to do with anything.

Yeah, there was a sort of anticlimactic nature to what was the last battle of the game and Myrrah's part in all of it. But the ease of it all might have factored into it. I mean, sure, Gears was never really known for its story, but it would have been nice to explain a few things left unanswered.

I'm chalking that up to the fact that Epic said Gears 3 was the end of the Marcus Fenix story, but not the end of the "gears universe". Stay tuned no doubt.

It seems like one of a few things that was alluded to in the past but not covered very well. My money's on a prequel of some sort. Wouldn't be surprised if that was what they were saving it for.
