Why does Shia LaBeouf keep getting acting gigs?

I mean this in a relatively serious way. I like good films, I even like shit films. I don't like Shia LaBeouf. Not personally, I have no idea if the drink driver is a good/bad/nice person - I just don't see why he keeps getting cast in leading man/action roles.

Seriously, up against someone with charisma you get the impression he just disappears on screen.

Not a big fan of Wall Street as is - but mostly because of the way frat boys think its how their life will be.

Shia is supposed to play Yorick in the Y the Last Man film adaptation, I think he'd be a great fit.

Not my favourite actor but I think he's hardly worth being upset about.

I don't know. Bruce Willis and Clint Eastwood can only really play funny tough guys / grumpy badasses between them. I'd certainly rather watch one of their films (well, some of in Bruce's case).
